Student answer (Band 5.5)

The argument about to accept bad situation or to fight in such circumstances and overcome that specific situation. Although some people believe that bad time not always and you should overcome such situation while some people argue that just accept bad situation in case of unsatisfy job or lack of money to bare personal expenses. in my opinion i strongly believe that bad time always gone people must do hard work to get rid of this situation and live better life.

if a person or individual loose hope in order to accept their fate and do try to get rid of this situation then survival must be difficult. in order to acieve specific goals or become successful person hard work and consistency is mandatory moreover without doing hardwork to achieve their goal he/she should not value his achievement. same as the millionares are diferent from poors are not on the base of just accept their destiny , they do hard work and stand out in crowd furthermore people bear lose and face ups and downs in their businesses but they should stand still and try again and again until they suceed. For Instance Elon Musk introduce his specific product cybertruck and failed during launch due to broken of glass but he did not loose hope and focus to make it better and after a year he again launch it's cybertruck and now this time it's one of the hotselling car.

In contrast some people believe that you should accept your fate if you are in miserable situation either it's due to shortage of money or something else, they though it's written in desitny and the time changes after all things sort out. according to them the time or situation is written in your destiny should not be change due to hardwork it changed with the passage of time.

In conclusion although destiny is already written but people must should try hard to change their situation. the famous quote is that try try again till you succeed. moreover no one help those who do not help themselves so, in order to achieve specific goals people must try hard until they succeed

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You discuss both views and make your own position clear: you argue that people should work to improve difficult circumstances rather than simply accept them. The paragraph supporting effort includes reasons about persistence and an example involving Elon Musk, so the response is relevant and gives the reader some support for your view. However, the opposing view is explained mainly as a belief that circumstances are determined by destiny and will change with time; it would be stronger if you explored why acceptance might be sensible, such as protecting wellbeing when a situation cannot be changed. Some claims, including that hard work is necessary for success, are broad and need more explanation. Develop both sides more evenly and connect examples directly to the argument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph favouring effort, a paragraph presenting acceptance, and a conclusion. This makes the main progression understandable. You also use linking expressions such as “In contrast,” “For Instance,” and “In conclusion” to signal relationships between ideas. At times, however, connections feel mechanical or unclear, and several points are crowded into long sentences. For example, the discussion of hard work, achievement, wealth, and business setbacks moves quickly without clearly showing how each point supports the central claim. The opening sentence is also difficult to follow, which weakens the introduction. Use clearer topic sentences and divide complex points into shorter units; make references such as “this situation” precise so readers can follow the argument easily.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “shortage of money,” “fate,” “consistency,” “survival,” and “ups and downs.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and you attempt more specific language when discussing business and achievement. However, the range is limited by repeated wording such as “situation,” “hard work,” and “try,” while several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts less natural—for example, “accept bad situation,” “bear personal expenses,” and “stand out in crowd.” Spelling errors such as “acieve,” “diferent,” and “suceed” are also noticeable. Build a wider set of precise expressions for discussing resilience, acceptance, and financial hardship, and check spelling and collocations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “although,” “while,” and “if.” This shows an effort to express contrast and cause, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, some sentence structures are faulty, particularly where clauses are joined or verb forms are used. For example, “Although some people believe that bad time not always” lacks a complete, correctly formed clause, and “people must should try hard” combines incompatible modal verbs. There are also issues with articles, agreement, and punctuation, as in “a person or individual loose hope” and the long opening sentence fragment. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then check tense, subject–verb agreement, and punctuation in longer sentences.
