Student answer (Band 5.5)
Some citizens survive even in worst situations, while others apply better approach and satisfy their nature. This is a controversial issue as to stay with their unsatisfactory situations or work hard to change our circumstances. In this essay I will discuss both side and draw a conclusion as well.
Some people adjust even in their distraous conditions as they do not have further opportunities to move on next. So they find it convenient to make their survival in the available facilities even though it does not satisfy them. For instance, an illiterate is not able to find a job, so he would accept his poor labor even though he had not satisfaction with this.
On the other side who claims to move ahead, have positive mind set, if we ambitious about to change our circumstances, the paths will open automatically. To search for better opportunities, it requires hard-work, which is a key to success. For instance, if an entity work hard and pass the competitive exam and pass it, consequently he will secure a job and improve his living style.
To sum up the above discussion, I strongly agree with the others point of view about try to improve bad situations. If we do not have enough money to make a linear survival, in clear sense we are burden on society, as one do not have enough money in order to afford his living expanditures, he will suffer throughout the life. Those who manage to live with their unsatisfactory situations, basically they are used to with this.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state a clear preference for trying to improve difficult circumstances, especially in the conclusion. The examples of someone with limited education accepting available work and a person passing a competitive exam are relevant to the discussion. However, the first view is explained mainly as a lack of opportunity, while the reasons people may choose acceptance—such as stability, health, or family responsibilities—are not explored. The argument for change is also broad: “the paths will open automatically” is asserted rather than demonstrated, and the final claim that people become a “burden on society” is not clearly connected to the earlier reasoning. Develop these points with more specific explanation and support.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. This gives the reader an overall route through the discussion, and signposts such as “On the other side” and “To sum up” make the paragraph purposes clear. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening sentence introduces “satisfy their nature,” which does not clearly lead into the issue, and the conclusion shifts from personal hardship to being a burden on society without explaining the link. Within paragraphs, ideas sometimes follow one another without enough development. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the view it supports; also make references such as “this” and “the others point of view” more precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “unsatisfactory situations,” “opportunities,” “competitive exam,” and “survival.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning awkward or less precise. Phrases such as “satisfy their nature,” “distraous conditions,” “make their survival,” and “linear survival” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “living expanditures” also contains a spelling error. These issues sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a more reliable set of phrases for discussing hardship and improvement, and check whether each word fits its context. More accurate collocations would make your argument clearer without requiring unusually advanced vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses with “as,” “even though,” and “if,” and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, some sentence structures are faulty, particularly where subjects and verbs do not agree or a clause is incomplete. For example, “who claims to move ahead, have positive mind set” has an unclear subject and agreement, while “if we ambitious about to change” is missing a verb and uses an incorrect clause pattern. In “if an entity work hard and pass … and pass it,” the verb forms do not match the subject, and the sentence repeats an idea. Practise forming complete conditional sentences and checking subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
