Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is widely argued that accepting a bad situation is better such as poor job or lack of money, while others believe that improving bad situations are better solution. This essay will discuss the both views, but I believe that improving the situation is the better option because people will find a better opportunities to live a happy life.
On the one hand, people have not other option rather than accepting the bad situation. This is because individuals have responsibilities of families to fulfill their needs. For example, a father will not leave his low paid job as he has to pay the fees for children's education. In addition, they have no other skill to compete the job market. This leads them to accept their current job as they are not competitive enough to fing the other job.
On the other hand, people should try to work on their skills to live a happy life. This means that they should take time for themselves to learn the new skills such as communication which will help them to get a better opportunity. For example, an individual should join online courses to enhance the English communication, then he may able to hunt the job in the schools. Furthermore, they will be able to provide a better future to their loved ones.
Although accepting situation helps people to fulfill their duties, I believe working hard to change the situation will provide more benefits people's lives because they will become satisfied, live a happy life and find better opportunities in their life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both views and state a consistent opinion: accepting a difficult situation may be necessary, but improving it offers greater benefits. The examples of a parent keeping a low-paid job to fund education and someone taking online courses support the two sides and are relevant to the question. This meets the task well overall. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that people lack skills and therefore cannot find another job could be developed by explaining what prevents them from gaining those skills. The final paragraph repeats the benefits of change rather than adding a fuller comparison. To strengthen the response, extend each main idea with a clearer explanation of its consequences.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that restates your position. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “Although” make the progression easy to follow. This gives the essay a coherent arrangement. Some connections are nevertheless mechanical, and a few references are unclear. In “This leads them to accept their current job,” “This” refers broadly to the preceding point about skills, while the relationship could be stated more precisely. The conclusion also repeats ideas from the introduction and body. Use a wider range of linking methods and make the relationship between each example and its main point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “responsibilities,” “low paid job,” “communication,” and “opportunity.” There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “compete the job market” and “enhance the English communication,” but these combinations are inaccurate or unnatural and sometimes make the reader pause. Word-form and spelling slips, including “fing,” also reduce precision. Repeated use of “better,” “situation,” and “happy life” limits the range. Build accuracy by learning common collocations and varying repeated terms—for example, describe improving a situation as “changing one’s circumstances” or “seeking better employment.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional example (“as he has to pay…”) and a concession in the conclusion (“Although accepting situation…”). The overall meaning is generally understandable, but errors in agreement, articles, and verb patterns occur across the response. Examples include “improving bad situations are better solution,” “people have not other option,” and “he may able to hunt the job.” These show that control of sentence construction is not yet consistent. Practise accurate plural and singular agreement, article use, and modal verb patterns; for example, “he may be able to find a job.” More reliable control of these forms, alongside varied sentence structures, would improve clarity.
