Student answer (Band 5.5)

There are several people who accept a difficult situation and lives their life accordingly. It could be unsatisfactory job that requires heavy work and in return gives low salary that is not up to the designation or it could be poverty and shortage of money. While others suggest to try and improve that types of situations. From my perspective, I would also advise them to try and improve their condition by asking their employer for promotion with high income or by applying to the other companies.

Majority people sacrifice their own requirements from the company and accept that hedious job as faith. They blame their faith for that and stop trying to improve their situations. Due to this, they live a whole life without any achievements and always have a guilt of not having good enough. For instance, the census was conducted in pakistan to have knowledge of the ratio that how many people are doing unsatisfactory job or having low income. The results were dramatically high as 90% of the majority have accepted their faith.

Some people believes that they can have better opportunities and by availing those opportunities, they can improve their situaton. If they ever fail , they still try again and again to achieve their goal so that they can live their dream life. For instance, 10% people of pakistan try to find jobs in abroad and they apply on mulitple platforms as they have faith that one days right opportunity will approve them and their life will get change.

In conclusion, people should not stop trying to improve their situation. They should have faith on their capabilty and that good time always comes if you try hard.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and state a clear opinion: you support trying to improve difficult circumstances, including by seeking promotion or applying elsewhere. The two body paragraphs also give relevant explanations and examples, such as people accepting unsatisfactory work and others seeking jobs abroad. However, the discussion is uneven: the reasons for accepting a bad situation are only briefly explained, while the examples rely on unsupported claims about percentages in Pakistan rather than showing why people make these choices. Your conclusion restates your position but does not add much to the discussion. To strengthen the response, explain more fully why someone might reasonably accept a difficult situation—for example, financial responsibilities or limited alternatives—and develop examples with clearer support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. This makes the main progression easy to follow, and phrases such as “While others” and “In conclusion” signal shifts between ideas. Some connections are less smooth or precise, however. The opening uses “While” to introduce a fragment rather than a complete contrast, and “Due to this” does not clearly connect the preceding claims about blame and effort to the stated outcome. Repeated references to “situations” and “people” also make the links feel mechanical. Use complete contrast sentences and clearer references, and organise each body paragraph around a reason followed by an explanation and a relevant example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the topic, including phrases such as “unsatisfactory job,” “shortage of money,” “opportunities,” and “achieve their goal.” There are also attempts at more expressive language, such as “dream life,” but several choices are inaccurate or unnatural and sometimes make the meaning less clear. For example, “accept that hedious job as faith” and “their life will get change” do not express the intended ideas naturally; “faith” is also repeated where “circumstances” or “fate” may be intended. Spelling errors such as “situaton,” “mulitple,” and “capabilty” further reduce control. Build a more precise range of collocations and check spelling, especially in key claims.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If they ever fail, they still try again” and clauses beginning with “that.” This shows some range, and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction recur. Examples include “people … lives,” “Majority people,” “Some people believes,” and “one days right opportunity will approve them.” The opening sentence beginning “While others suggest” is also incomplete as written. These issues sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the message. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and complete sentence structure, and revise verb forms and articles before submitting; accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas clearer.
