Student answer (Band 6.5)
Depending on the situation, many people suggest to adjust with the dire condition whether it be financial crisis or a boring job. Although some dispute that trying to make improvements and overcoming problems is the correct route and I wholeheartedly support the latter notion.
There are circumstances when a person is forced to accept the bad situation despite the negative impact it has on them. For instance, a mundane, low paying job might be the only way for a man to support his family and keep the roof intact. Although the payment might not be sufficient but the man could work overtime, or take another job to provide food and clothes. Moreover, there are people who have choosen to build their career in a completely different field despite having no passion or interest, simply for the financial stability it provides. Even though the person might not enjoy the work itself, it becomes a situation where they have to adjust.
However, continuing to live in a miserable cycle regardless of the tough situation might not always be fruitful. It is important that a person overcomes their challenges as it shows their desire to achieve their goals and interests. It is inspiring when someone from a poor background achieve their dream career, or overcome financial hardships. This depicts that the person is capable of acheiving beyond their expection.
In conclusion, the desperation often drives an individual to overcome hardships and reach their goals. It is therefore important that a person put effort to improve their situation and move beyond their expectations. Despite the many challenges life might throw at an individual, it is their responsibility to accept the challenge and emerge as the ultimate winner.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you support trying to improve difficult circumstances, and you discuss reasons why people may accept them as well as why they may seek change. The example of keeping a low-paid job to support a family is relevant, and the contrast with pursuing a desired career helps explain your view. However, the two sides are not developed equally: the case for acceptance receives more explanation, while the benefits of overcoming hardship are stated mainly in general terms, such as achieving a dream career. To strengthen the response, explain more specifically how someone could improve their situation and support that point with a concrete example. This would make the discussion more fully developed while retaining your clear position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that restates your opinion. Linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Moreover,” and “However” help signal examples and contrast, so the reader can follow the main progression. Some connections are less precise or feel formulaic, particularly the shift from accepting a job to choosing a career without passion; the relationship between these examples could be made clearer. The conclusion also repeats the central idea rather than drawing together the discussion. Use more explicit links between each example and the point it supports, and vary how you refer back to the two views. This would make cohesion more flexible and the progression more consistently clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including phrases such as “financial stability,” “overcome financial hardships,” and “miserable cycle.” These choices communicate the main ideas and show an attempt to use less common language. However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “adjust with the dire condition,” “keep the roof intact,” and “achieving beyond their expection.” There are also spelling errors in “choosen,” “acheiving,” and “expection.” These do not prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and control. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “adapt to difficult circumstances” and “support his family” rather than translating expressions literally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex structures, including a concessive opening with “Although” and a conditional example beginning “despite having no passion or interest.” Most sentences remain understandable, and the errors rarely obstruct your meaning. Some grammatical patterns need more control. In “Although the payment might not be sufficient but the man could work overtime,” do not combine “although” and “but” in this way; write “Although the pay might not be sufficient, the man could work overtime.” In “someone from a poor background achieve” and “it is their responsibility to accept,” check subject–verb agreement and the intended singular or plural subject. Continue using complex sentences, but proofread agreement and clause structure to make them more consistently accurate.
