Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response attempts to discuss both views and gives a personal preference, particularly in “I agree those people who make a best survive” and the later praise of people who work hard and help others. However, the two positions in the question are not clearly explained: the opening appears to support accepting a shortage of money, but the reasons are difficult to follow, while the opposing view is only briefly mentioned. Most of the response repeats that people can improve their lives, gain status, and earn respect, without explaining how or giving a relevant example. As a result, the task is addressed only minimally and the reader cannot confidently identify a developed argument. Explain each view separately, then state your opinion clearly and support it with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is some basic organisation: the opening introduces the topic, later paragraphs express a preference, and phrases such as “And some people believe” and “I give an opinion” signal a change in focus. However, the ideas do not progress in a clear sequence. The second paragraph is only one incomplete thought, and subsequent paragraphs repeat similar claims about making life comfortable, achieving a high position, and helping others rather than developing distinct points. References such as “those people” and “they” are often unclear, so it is hard to tell which group is being discussed. Use one paragraph for each view and a final paragraph for your opinion, with clear topic sentences and links that show how each reason supports the argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses a small set of relevant words, including “shortage of money,” “unsatisfactory job,” “hardwork,” and “comfortable,” and it attempts to express ideas about work, status, and helping others. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and several word choices or combinations make the intended meaning difficult to understand. For example, “make a unique to others,” “a best survive,” and “high experience” are not natural expressions in this context. Spelling errors such as “wounderful” and “appriciates” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range for discussing acceptance and improvement, and learn common collocations such as “accept a difficult situation,” “seek better-paid work,” and “improve one’s circumstances.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts some longer sentence forms, including “The shortage of money also forced of those people which takes some rupees,” but sentence structures are very limited overall and errors frequently obscure meaning. Problems include subject–verb agreement (“shortage of money make”), verb forms (“I also appriciates”), and pronoun consistency (“your life” when referring to “those people”). Articles and sentence construction are also unreliable, as in “I agree those people who make a best survive.” Several sentences lack a clear grammatical relationship between their clauses, and punctuation does not consistently separate ideas. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “although,” and “who.” Check each sentence for a clear subject, verb, and consistent pronouns.
