Student answer (Band 5.0)
According to some people it is better to accept a bad situation such unwanted job or shortage of money. If someone think that they will be satisfy with its outcome so they can accept it, but if some one thinks that they will regret after sometime so they should'nt accept the unwanted or unsatisfied situation. The people who will regret after choosing that bad situation they should follow the argument that they should try their best to get their desired situation or better situation. In my opinion a person should never loose hope he should try again to get what they want. They should also not leave that option which they don't like they should continue with that and while doing that they must be trying for their desireable state one day might they would get their goal and if they are failed gain to get it they should think that it was not in their destiny. They should believe that there will be something better for them in future. The reason why i support the fact of continuing with the present one and getting ready for the next one is that i think we should not loose the chance even if it is better or worse we should use every chance given to us because if did not get our goal next time again and we lost the previous chance so we will be left for nothing. i have one example related to this she was my friend. she studied to hard to get admission in her dream university but she did not get admission there. But she got admission at an other institute but she did not want to go there and she left that choice and tried for that institute again next year but again failed. Then she was left for nothing. So my opinion is that we should not loose hope and also should not leave any chance.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear personal view that people should keep trying while retaining an available option, and the example of your friend illustrates the risk of rejecting a place while waiting for a preferred one. However, the discussion of accepting a bad situation is brief and conditional: you say people may accept it if they expect to be satisfied, but do not explain why acceptance can be sensible or give a developed example. Your own position also shifts between continuing with the present situation and not leaving any chance, without fully clarifying how these ideas work together. Develop both views more evenly, then state a consistent position and support it with specific reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has a recognisable sequence: it introduces the issue, gives your opinion, explains your reasoning and ends with an example and conclusion. The example is relevant, but the ideas are packed into one long paragraph, so the reader has little visual or logical guidance. Connections such as “but,” “and,” and “so” are repeated, and some references are unclear—for example, “that option” and “that institute” require the reader to infer what they mean. Use separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion and the example, and make each paragraph develop one main point. More precise linking and referencing would make the progression easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “shortage of money,” “desired situation,” “dream university,” and “admission.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or repetitive, such as “bad situation,” “get their goal,” and “left for nothing.” Spelling and word-form errors—including “desireable,” “loose” where you mean “lose,” and “satisfy” where “satisfied” is needed—also reduce precision. Aim to use more exact phrases for accepting circumstances, pursuing goals and facing setbacks. Check spelling and collocations carefully so that your meaning is consistently clear and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “if someone thinks… they should…” and a reason clause beginning “The reason why…”. However, complex sentences are often faulty or difficult to follow, and errors occur frequently. Examples include “If someone think,” “they will be satisfy,” “she studied to hard,” and “if did not get our goal,” which show problems with agreement, verb forms and sentence construction. Punctuation is also weak: several sentences run together, and apostrophes and capitalisation are inconsistent. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected subordinate clause, then proofread agreement, tense and punctuation.
