Student answer (Band 5.5)
Two different perspectives are the part of nowadays discussion on accepting bad situation. such as unsatisfactory job and poverty. People usually believe that life is unfair which is no doubt is authentic. However, other might think of that you should focus on the weakness and then try to improve to make life better.
Initially, Lets have a look on accepting bad situation regarding the unsatisfying or not not having enough money to survive. Accepting bad situation in life is a true phenomena, having said that life is unfair. There are vast amount of situations where acceptance might be good. However, the situations like these came to life to either test you or to improve your self to make better version. If the job is unsatisfying but you are getting plenty of money out of it, then compromise over the small things such as the enviroment, commute to work etc.
Secondly, Lets dicuss about the other perspective. People believe that it is effective if try to cope the situation and creates solution to the problem you face in life. Problems are the part of life circumstances like these can be improved by focusing on weaknesses and try to improve that specific part. For instance, Somebody is a bad driver so is it better to accept that situation ? I guess not. But what else could be done is try to identify the weakness in your driving skills, focus on them and by the passage of time it will be imroved. Although, If the circumstances are undercontrol like these you should better focsing on to improve it.
In my opinion, I would say people should try to solve the situation and get better in any circumstance. Such as when i first started designing i got stuck into the similar situation that I should accept I will not become a professional designer. However, I identify my mistakes and try to overcome from the stuck position. As a result, I became the best interne and also got my promption to a leading team.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a clear preference for trying to improve difficult circumstances. The examples of accepting an unsatisfying job for its income and improving driving skills are relevant, while your personal account of learning design supports your opinion. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the reasons why someone might accept a bad situation are not explored beyond the financial compromise, and the driving example is less directly connected to the task’s examples of work and money. The opening also makes a broad claim that life is unfair without explaining its relevance. To strengthen the response, explain when acceptance may be sensible, such as when change is not immediately possible, and develop the comparison with your preferred approach.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. Sequencing phrases such as “Initially,” “Secondly,” and “In my opinion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and linking expressions can feel mechanical. For example, “Having said that life is unfair” does not clearly connect to the point that follows, while “Although” introduces a sentence that does not complete a contrast. Some references, such as “situations like these,” are vague, and the conclusion repeats the opinion rather than drawing together the discussion. Use clearer links between each claim and its explanation, and ensure each paragraph develops one central idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “unsatisfying,” “compromise,” “weaknesses,” and “circumstances,” and you attempt phrases such as “overcome” and “professional designer.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward. Examples include “accepting bad situation,” “cope the situation,” “vast amount of situations,” and “best interne.” Spelling errors such as “enviroment,” “imroved,” and “promption” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing choices and constraints, and check spelling and collocations carefully so that your meaning is consistently easy to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “If the job is unsatisfying but you are getting plenty of money…” and a contrast introduced by “Although.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors in articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the reader work to understand the message. For example, “People usually believe that life is unfair which is no doubt is authentic” has an unclear clause structure, and “Problems are the part of life circumstances like these can be improved” joins ideas without correct punctuation or a linking structure. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent. Practise building shorter, accurate sentences first, then combine ideas using correctly formed clauses and punctuation.
