Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that people should accept a bad situation such as unsatisfactory job and financial support While accepting such situation can bring a piece of mind. From my perspective, making efforts to improve them is a better approach.
On the one hand, there are sevaral benefits of accepting bad situation. To begin with, constantly worrying about money or bad job causes anxiety and effects of mental health. If people accept their situation they can be live more happy and easier life. For instance, a person who agree with low salary but have happy family may prefer acceptance over stress. Moreover, trying to change job is risky especially in unemployement countries. A bad job is still better than no job. Many people have family responsibilities so they do no have a ability to take a risk.
On the other hand, it is also better to try and improve bad situations. If you respect a bad situation, you will never grow. A person can learn new skills such as Ielts and increase career opportunities. Furthermore, a person who have skilled in web development can improve their job and earn money. In addition, increase confidence and sefl-respect. Accepting a shortage of money will only make the problem bigger. If you try to improve, for example by doing a side job or small business, you can become financially stable in the future.
In conclusion, although acceptance brings short term peace try to bring long term benefits. Therefore, improvement is better. This approach not only help in personal development but also ensure a better future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both views and give a clear opinion: acceptance may provide “short term peace,” but you ultimately favour efforts to improve circumstances. The two body paragraphs are relevant, with examples such as family responsibilities and taking a side job. This meets the task well overall, though some points are more fully explained than others. For example, the risks of changing jobs are linked to unemployment and family duties, while the claim that accepting a situation means “you will never grow” is asserted rather than explained. The examples about learning skills and web development would also be stronger if you showed more clearly how they lead to better employment or income. Develop these links to make the discussion more convincing and balanced.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that restates your position. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the discussion. The progression within paragraphs is generally logical, moving from a claim to a reason or example. However, some connections are mechanical, and a few sentences feel detached from the surrounding argument. “In addition, increase confidence and self-respect” is not a complete sentence and does not clearly connect to the preceding point. The conclusion’s contrast between acceptance and improvement is also compressed. Use linking phrases to show precise relationships between ideas, and ensure each sentence is clearly attached to the paragraph’s main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “financially stable,” “career opportunities,” “family responsibilities,” and “personal development.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and there are attempts to use more specific language than basic everyday terms. However, errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make the phrasing awkward: “sevaral,” “unemployement,” “sefl-respect,” “a piece of mind,” and “have skilled in web development.” Some expressions are also imprecise, such as “financial support” where you mean a shortage of money or financial difficulty. Build accuracy by checking spelling and learning common word partnerships, especially for employment and financial topics. This would make your vocabulary more natural and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including conditional sentences such as “If you try to improve… you can become financially stable” and a concession in the conclusion. The main message is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include “a person who agree” and “a person who have,” where the verb does not agree with the subject; “they can be live,” which uses an incorrect verb pattern; and “not only help … but also ensure,” where the subject–verb form is inaccurate. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “such as unsatisfactory job” and the opening sentence, where the clause beginning “While” is not properly connected. Practise agreement, verb patterns, and complete sentence construction while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
