Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some people believe that it's better to accept bad situation, like job realted or shortage of money, while others believe that it is better to try and improve these situations.I believe that it is better to try for improvement because it leads towards positive change.

Those who support the statement that it is better to accept bad situations in life are believe on this concept that situation cannot be same throughout the life. At that time we have less money than others but in future our company will reward more our position in the company will also change and they also in need of job so they accept any field of job like some odd jobs who pays less than their qualification or expirence but for the certain time there is no option so it is better to accept these kinds of situations.

On the other hand, people argue that it is better to try for the improve their life because if someone wants their desired jobs which will pay them according to their expirence and their qualification so they have to try more to get this type of reward. If he wants to improve his lifestyle and also for his family so then it is important for the person to acheive those things by hardwork and smarkwork. On of my colluege had found a odd job at some fastfood brand who pays very less salary but he accepts intially and try their best to find the job according to his qualification. Now he is working as a manager at 5 star hotel so they acheive all these things by his hardwork and continous dediaction.

In conculsion, accepting bad situatuion for a certain time is a good decision but always try to improve your situations and this can lead to build your future bright and postive.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and state a clear preference for trying to improve difficult circumstances. The first body paragraph explains why someone might accept a low-paid job temporarily, while the colleague’s move from fast-food work to hotel management gives a relevant example supporting effort and change. However, the discussion is not fully developed: the reasons for accepting a bad situation are mostly presented as predictions about future improvement, and the example does not explain what actions helped the colleague progress. Your conclusion repeats your position but does not add much. Develop each view with clearer reasoning and explain how your example supports your argument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. The contrast marker “On the other hand” helps signal the shift between positions, and the ideas generally remain relevant to the topic. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several points are joined together without clear links. For example, the first body paragraph moves from changing circumstances to company rewards and then to accepting any job, without showing how these ideas connect. Some references, such as “they” in the example paragraph, are unclear. Use shorter, more clearly sequenced sentences and make pronoun references explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “shortage of money,” “qualification,” “salary,” and “dedication,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the message harder to follow. Examples include “try for the improve,” “found a odd job,” and “build your future bright.” Spelling errors such as “expirence,” “acheive,” and “conculsion” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural phrases for employment and personal progress, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help express the contrast between accepting circumstances and actively changing them.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional and relative structures, but control is inconsistent. Errors in sentence formation and agreement appear in examples such as “Those who support … are believe” and “some odd jobs who pays less.” Articles and verb forms are also frequently inaccurate, as in “accept bad situation” and “he accepts intially and try their best.” Several long sentences combine multiple ideas without reliable punctuation, making relationships between clauses difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea at a time, then add subordinate clauses once the basic structure is secure. Pay particular attention to subject–verb agreement, articles, and consistent pronouns.
