Student answer (Band 5.5)

Bad situations come in life with multiple forms like unsatisfactory job or shortage of money etc. And mostly people accept these situations and still stuck in these positions. And the other group thinks its a good to improve your worse situations. I discuss both the views below with multiple reason.

Firstly, in our community different type of people living their life with variety of perspective. The one group face shortage of money and unsatisfactory job because they never wanted to improve their situation. The lots of reasons behind like the fear of family, stress and they have not taking the risk to improve their worse time. Also they have lack of confidance like if they leave their current job then how they getting a new job. I also know the persons who are not improved their thing to getting better. And some time their previous experiances are not good so they accept these situations.

Furthermore, the other group improve their situations cause they have lot of energy to face the problems. Freewill also pay a good role to take the next step. But i think the best way is to improve yourself with hardship and learning new skills. The mostly people who are leaving in the advance ara have greater energy to deal the adverse situations. I want to share my own experience, i remember my brother struggle time how they face things and how the deal these things with hardship and struggles. He rejected by many company but he never stop even he try again and agin with better hard ship.

To conclude, The better thing is to train theirself and taking risk with calm and practices. So improvement is the basic step.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and state a preference for improving one’s circumstances, especially in “the best way is to improve yourself with hardship and learning new skills.” The examples of fear, family pressure and your brother’s job search are relevant. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the reasons people accept difficult situations are listed rather than explained, and the brother’s experience is not connected clearly to how persistence improved his circumstances. Your position also becomes clearest only in the second body paragraph and conclusion. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences or merits of each view and show more explicitly how your example supports your opinion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “Firstly,” “Furthermore” and “To conclude” help readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and several ideas are placed together without clear links. For example, the first body paragraph moves from financial hardship to fear, confidence and past experiences without explaining how these points relate. Repeated use of “And” and “Also” makes connections feel mechanical, while references such as “these things” are vague. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain it and connect it to a specific example; use clearer referencing and a wider range of linking methods.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “shortage of money,” “fear,” “risk,” “adverse situations” and “learning new skills.” These choices make the general subject understandable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “improve their worse situations,” “the advance ara” and “better hard ship.” Spelling errors, including “confidance,” “experiances” and “agin,” also reduce precision. Repetition of “situations,” “things” and “improve” means that ideas are not expressed flexibly. Build a bank of accurate collocations for employment and financial hardship, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your examples and arguments easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the response is generally possible to understand. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently, including in basic sentence patterns. For example, “people accept these situations and still stuck” needs a verb such as “are” before “stuck,” while “they have not taking the risk” has an incorrect verb form. In “how they getting a new job,” the question clause needs an auxiliary, and “the other group improve their situations” has a subject–verb agreement problem. Sentence fragments beginning “And” also weaken control. Practise accurate present and past forms, agreement, and complete clauses before adding more complex structures; then proofread each sentence for its main verb.
