Student answer (Band 5.5)

TOUGH CHALLANGES LIKE MONETARY SITUATIONS AND UNPLEASURABLE JOB IS A PART OF LIFE AND SUCCESS.SOME PEOPLE ARGUE THAT IS IS BEST TO ACCEPT THE BAD CONDITION, OTHER SUPPORT THE ONE SHOULD TRY AND IMPROVISE.I WILL DISCUSS BOTH THE VIEWS, AND I BELIEVE THAT ITS BETTER TO PERFORM BETTER AND TACKLE PROBLEMS.

ON ONE HAND , SOME BELIEVE THAT IS BEST TO JUJST ACCEPT THE SITUATION AND MOVE ON BECAUSE THEY THINK IT IS THE DESTINY.SOMETIMES WHEN YOU WORK HARD ENLESSLY , AND YOU CANNOT ACHIEVE THE DESIRED MONEY OR JOB OFFER ,THEY TEND TO BELIEVE THAT THIS THE ONLY THING THAT CAN BE ACHIEVABLE. LIKE, A FRIEND OF MINE HAD THE BEST ACADEMIC SCORE IN THE BOARDS, BUT HE COULDNT SCORE WELL IN NEET EXAM ,AND GET AN MBBS SEAT.NOW,HE IS NOT TRYING AGAIN AND DOING PHYSIOTHERPY WHICH HE DIDNT WANTED TO DO.THUS , MOST OF THE TIME PEOPLE ACCEPT THE CONDITION AND MOVE TO ANOTHER THING JUST TO JUSTIFY THEMSELVES.

ON THE OTHER HAND, PEOPLE WHO TRY TO WORK HARD AND STAY DISCIPLINED OFTEN ACHIEVE SUCCESS IN LIFE IN EVERY FIELD.WHEN A PERSON IS TRY REPEATDLY FOR THE SAME POSITION AND PACKAGE , HE WILL SURELY CRACK A NEARBY

POSITION ATLEATS AND CREATE SPACE FOR THEM TO GROW ACHIEVE THE GOAL.IN A RECENT INTERVIE ,ELON MUSK TOLD AUDIENCE THAT IF HE DIDNT TRIED TESTING TESLA MULTIPLE TIMES, TODAY IT WOULDNT BE POSSIBLE HIM TO MAKE IT THE MOST POPULAR CAR.

OVERALL, TOUGH SITUATION LIKE MONEY LIMITATIONS AND JOB STRUGGLE CAN CREATE A PAUSE IN LIFE,BUT WHEN YOU DECIDED TO ENHANCE AND TACKLE SITUATION WITH HARDWORK AND SUCCESS , YOU WILL SURELY GET SUCESS WHAT YOU WANT IN LIFE.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and state a clear preference for trying to improve difficult circumstances, particularly in the introduction and conclusion. The examples—a friend who chose physiotherapy after not gaining an MBBS place, and Elon Musk’s repeated testing of Tesla—are relevant to the discussion. However, the two positions are not explored equally: the acceptance paragraph mainly describes one person’s decision and assumes people accept circumstances to justify themselves, while the case for persistence is expressed in broad claims such as achieving success “in every field.” Explain more fully why accepting a situation can sometimes be sensible, and develop how sustained effort can realistically improve a job or financial position. This would make the discussion more balanced and the support more convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding opinion. The signposts “On one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “Overall” make the direction of the discussion easy to follow, and the examples are placed with the relevant arguments. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the stronger control associated with more flexible progression. However, links within paragraphs can feel mechanical, and some references are unclear—for example, “they tend to believe” does not clearly identify who “they” refers to. The final paragraph also repeats the central claim rather than drawing the two views together. Use clearer referencing and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “accept the situation,” “work hard,” “disciplined,” and “achieve success.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “academic score” and “job offer.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make parts difficult to understand: “improvise” does not mean improve a situation, “unpleasurable job” is awkward, and “create space for them to grow achieve the goal” is unclear. Spelling errors such as “challanges,” “repeatdly,” and “sucess” are also noticeable. Build a bank of accurate collocations for employment, finances, and persistence, and check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if he didn’t tried testing Tesla multiple times,” and you use clauses to explain reasons and examples. However, complex constructions are often faulty, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. For instance, “some believe that is best to just accept” needs a subject and article, while “when you decided to enhance and tackle situation” shifts tense and omits an article. The opening is also written in all capitals, with punctuation and spacing problems that reduce readability. Practise building accurate sentences with “because,” “when,” and “if,” then check subject–verb agreement and consistent tense.
