Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people think that when they have a bad situation, like a low-paying job or a lack of money, they should just accept it. However, other believe that it is better to try to improve their conditions. While accepting a hard situation can reduce stress, it is alwats better to take action and make life better.
On the one hand, accepting a bad situation can bring peace of mind. If people are always complaining their problems, they will feel stresed and unhappy. For example, if some one has a low salary during an economic crisis, accepting the reality can help them manage with out feeling angry all the time. By accepting this kind of sitaution, people can learn to be feel relax and avoid useless arguments or anxiety.
On the other hand, trying to improve a situation is essential for personal growth and sucess. If a person stay in an unsatisfactory job for long time with out trying to change, they will never achive their goals. For instance, if a worker is unhappy with thier income, they can take extra courses, learn new skills, or look for the better job. Making an effort to solve problems helps people to build a better future for themselves and their families.
In conclusion, accepting bad conditions can help people to reduce the stress in the short time. I believe that trying to improve a bad situation is much better. taking action leads to to better opportunities, personal development and long tearm happiness.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and state a clear opinion: accepting hardship may reduce stress, but taking action is better. The examples of accepting a low salary during a crisis and gaining skills or seeking another job are relevant. However, the discussion is brief and some points are not fully explained—for example, you mention “personal growth” and “long term happiness” without showing in detail how improvement leads to these outcomes. The response also falls one word short of the required 250 words. To strengthen the response, develop each view with a fuller explanation and a specific example, while keeping your position clear throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for each view, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” makes the progression easy to follow, and the ideas within each paragraph generally stay on topic. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some effective control of progression. To make the links feel less formulaic and reach the next level, vary transitions and connect cause and effect more explicitly. For instance, explain how learning new skills could lead to a better job, rather than moving directly from the suggested actions to the broad claim of a better future.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for communicating the main ideas, with relevant phrases such as “peace of mind,” “economic crisis,” “personal growth,” and “build a better future.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling or word-choice errors reduce accuracy, including “alwats,” “stresed,” “sitaution,” “sucess,” and “tearm.” Some expressions are also awkward, such as “manage with out” and “learn to be feel relax.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your argument, but they keep the vocabulary from being consistently precise. Proofread spelling and practise natural collocations to make your ideas clearer and more fluent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple sentences and more complex forms, including conditional structures such as “If people are always complaining…, they will feel…” and “If a person stay…, they will never…”. The overall meaning is usually clear, but errors occur in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “other believe” needs subject–verb agreement, “If a person stay” needs a matching verb form, and “learn to be feel relax” is not grammatically formed. The conclusion also contains a faulty construction in “leads to to better opportunities.” Work on checking each clause for a clear subject and correctly formed verb, while continuing to practise conditional sentences.
