Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some people believe that accepting prblems makes life easier, while others think make an effort to improve the bad situation is better. In my opinion, people should improve to their bad circumstances whenever possible.

First of all, accepting a bad situation can sometimes be a good choice, because every problem cannot solve easily. For example, if a person has an unsatisfactory job and could get another good job, so he accept the situation, accepting a situation temporarily may reduce stress. Similarly, people may face the difficulties that are above of their control. In such cases, accepting a bad situation can help them to get positive in life.

On the other hand, trying to improve the bad situation should be more benificial than accepting a bad situation. People who effort to solve their problems can develop new skills and can achieve their goals. For instance, if a person is unhappy with its job, they can learn new skills, improve their qualifications, and apply for better opportunities. In the same way, if a person face financial difficulties can make budget and search for more sources. These steps can lead to make better future.

To conclude that, accepting a bad situation can sometimes reduce stress, but I think that people should to improve bad situation and bad circumstances. To improve the bad environment and poor position can help people to make batter life in future. A positive attitude can completely changed the people life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and state a clear preference: “people should improve to their bad circumstances whenever possible.” The examples about changing jobs and managing financial difficulties are relevant, and you recognise that accepting circumstances can reduce stress or help when problems are beyond one’s control. However, the discussion is brief and some reasoning is unclear; for example, the job example in the first body paragraph is difficult to follow, and the benefits of acceptance are not developed as fully as the case for taking action. The conclusion repeats your position rather than extending it. The response is also 9 words below the required minimum. Develop each view with clearer explanation and a more specific example to address the task more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “First of all,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help readers follow the overall direction. This coherent arrangement supports the discussion, but connections within sentences are sometimes faulty or mechanical. For instance, “For example … so he accept the situation” combines ideas in a confusing way, while “In the same way” introduces a financial example that is related but not quite parallel to the job example. Some references, including “they” after “a person,” are not fully clear. Use simpler, complete links between claims and examples, and make sure each paragraph develops one central point in a logical sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “unsatisfactory job,” “financial difficulties,” “qualifications,” and “opportunities.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the writing less natural. Examples include “accepting prblems,” “above of their control,” “make better future,” and “batter life.” “Positive attitude” is relevant, but the phrase “completely changed the people life” is not expressed accurately. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the general argument, but they show limited control of vocabulary. Build a bank of natural phrases for discussing employment, finances, and coping with difficulties, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if a person is unhappy with its job, they can learn new skills.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but some errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles remain. For example, “every problem cannot solve easily” needs a passive construction, and “people who effort to solve” lacks a correctly formed verb phrase. In “if a person face financial difficulties can make budget,” the clause is incomplete and the subject–verb agreement is incorrect. The conclusion also has errors in “should to improve” and “can completely changed.” Practise forming complete conditional sentences and checking each clause for a subject and correctly conjugated verb.
