Student answer (Band 5.5)
Yes Some people believe that when the bad time come or a bad situation they thought that its just for money if i have lot of money i can handle the situation easily and solve all the problem . one of my friend have same habit like he does not work hard and not interested in any work and also all the time free at home when we meat they thought or they only discuss about i dont have money so when ever i try to make some thing or some business i can fail like that and he only believe on luck not hardwork
On the other hand some people whenever bad time come he can manage the time and also manage the situation and work hard all the time to improve himself for the next time .In can experience these type of people because one of my neighbors Abdullah he has also my close friend that can work very hard they don't have alot of money they can job in a private company and his pay like maximum not lot of money company can give them but he can manage easily they are 5 family members they can manage all of them and when ever i can see him he can do work for his company and ge believes on hardwok he also believe on luch but most of the time he can sa luck is not ever thing if you can achieve something you can work hard
In my opinion you can work hard if can you achieve some thing and also improve yourself with time if we can work hard in every situation when ever bad time comes you can handle the situation and you can work hard for the next time ine dag you achieve your goal.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and give a personal opinion: the first example describes someone who relies on luck and money, while Abdullah is presented as someone who works hard despite limited pay. Your conclusion also supports effort as the better response. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The first view is described mainly through your friend’s attitude, without explaining why people might choose to accept a difficult situation or when acceptance could be sensible. The second example is relevant but would benefit from clearer explanation of how hard work improves the situation. Make your position explicit earlier and develop each view with a reason and a specific outcome.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: it introduces one view, contrasts it with the other using “On the other hand,” and ends with your opinion. The examples also give the discussion a basic progression. However, the first paragraph contains several ideas in one long sequence, and the second paragraph shifts between Abdullah’s job, his family, and his beliefs without clear links. References such as “they” and “he” are sometimes difficult to follow. Use separate, focused paragraphs and clearer transitions between the example and the point it supports. A more direct topic sentence for each view would make the organisation easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “bad situation,” “manage,” “improve,” “hard work,” and “achieve your goal.” These choices make your general meaning understandable. However, the range is limited and several words and phrases are repeated, especially “work hard,” “situation,” and “believe.” Some expressions are imprecise or unnatural, such as “bad time come,” “lot of money,” and “not ever thing,” while spelling errors such as “luch” and “hardwok” reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and collocations. More precise wording would help distinguish accepting circumstances from actively trying to change them.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences and use contrast, for example, “On the other hand,” and “In my opinion.” This shows some effort to go beyond isolated simple statements. However, many sentences contain errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries. For instance, “when the bad time come” and “he does not work hard and not interested” have faulty verb patterns, while the opening paragraph runs several clauses together with limited punctuation. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Practise accurate present and past forms, subject–verb agreement, and complete sentence boundaries. Shorter, correctly controlled sentences would improve clarity before you attempt more complex structures.
