Student answer (Band 6.0)
Many people think that accepting a bad luck is the best solution while others believe that trying to improve that situation is better. I strongly agree with the latter view because we can change the situation by considering different circumstances.
On the one hand, people believe in accepting bad situation because it is not in our hand. So, if something unexpected happen to us we should accept it. One major advantage of accepting bad things is that it helps to maintain mental health by reducing mental stress. For example, some people are unsatisfied with their job. If they accept the factors reponsible for the unsatisfaction, it will give them mental peace and they will be loyal to the company. Though it has positive impact on mental well-being, I strongly disagree with accepting bad luck.
On the other hand, though bad situation is not in our control, we can try to improve that situation. Sometimes we can be the reasons for the situation. Accepting that shortcomings and working on that can change the situation significantly. For example, recent years every job requires computer literacy especially on AI. If someone fail to learn AI, job will be diffcult for him result in unsatisfaction. However, if he learn the AI and implement it management will appreciate. Because of this possible transition, I strongly agree to try to change our fate.
In conclusion, people believe in accepting the bad fate for reducing mental stress, I firmly believe that we should try to improve the unsatisfactory situation for our betterment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and state a clear preference for trying to improve difficult circumstances, particularly in the introduction and conclusion. The discussion of acceptance gives a relevant reason—reducing stress—and the job example helps illustrate it. The second view is also supported with an example about learning AI skills to improve job prospects. However, some ideas are less fully explained: the claim that accepting dissatisfaction makes someone “loyal to the company” is not clearly connected to the argument, and the AI example would benefit from explaining more precisely how learning the skill changes the situation. Develop the reasoning behind each example and make the comparison between acceptance and action more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and your position remains consistent. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some features of stronger organisation. However, connections within paragraphs are occasionally mechanical or unclear. For instance, “Though it has positive impact on mental well-being, I strongly disagree” shifts from explaining one benefit to rejecting the view without clarifying the limitation. The final sentence also repeats the main position rather than drawing the discussion together. Use more precise links between claims and examples, and develop the contrast between the views.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “mental health,” “mental stress,” “shortcomings,” and “computer literacy.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “mental well-being” and “significantly.” However, several noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make the language less natural: “accepting a bad luck,” “not in our hand,” “unsatisfaction,” and “change our fate” are awkward or inaccurate in context. “Reponsible” and “diffcult” also contain spelling errors. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your argument, but they limit precision. Build a wider set of natural phrases for discussing difficult circumstances and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If they accept the factors… it will give them mental peace” and a concessive clause beginning “Though it has positive impact…”. The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. Examples include “if something unexpected happen” (subject–verb agreement), “some people are unsatisfied” (article use in the surrounding construction), and “if someone fail” / “if he learn” (agreement). The sentence beginning “For example, recent years…” also lacks a clear grammatical frame, while “Because of this possible transition” is an incomplete sentence. Aim for accurate verb forms and complete clauses, especially when using conditionals and introductory phrases; this will make your complex sentences more controlled.
