Student answer (Band 5.5)

There is an ongoing debate whether people should accept difficult circumstances, like unpleasent job and lack of money, while others argue that it is very beneficial to work hard and thrieve to better these situations. I believe that it is good to accept such situations in difficult time period of life but we should also learn new skills and try to improve it.

On the one hand, accepting unsatisfactory or low-paying jobs simply is not in our hands. When the person has to support their family and fulfill their everyday needs, then he have to do such kinds of job without their willingness. For instance, mostly people at a very young age for poor income families do these low-paying jobs just to pay their educational fees. However, because their parents cannot afford educational expenses.

On the other hand, accepting these bad situations is not good at all. People

should work hard and learn everyday new skills that are very in. For instance, youngster should try to start their own business after acquiring the modern skills. Many people starts their work at a very low-paying job, then they work hard and achieve higher rank in business. They just need to determined and dedicated to their profession.

In conclude, it is believe that during harder phase of life when you have to support your family it is good to work at low-paying jobs, but accepting it is not a solution. You should try to acquire new digital skills that are popular in today's world and thrieve to find better opportunities than this.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and state a position: accepting a low-paid job may be necessary to support a family, but people should also develop skills and seek better opportunities. The examples about young people paying education costs and workers progressing in business are relevant. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The first view is presented mainly as a necessity rather than explaining why someone might believe acceptance is the best response, and the second view relies on broad claims such as learning skills that are “very in.” Your opinion also shifts slightly between accepting hardship and saying acceptance “is not a solution.” Explain more clearly when acceptance is reasonable and why active improvement is preferable overall.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its basic structure. “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” help signal the contrast. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some links are unclear or mechanical. The sentence beginning “However, because their parents cannot afford educational expenses” is incomplete and does not connect smoothly to the preceding example. The conclusion repeats earlier points rather than drawing them together, while “In conclude” is an inaccurate transition. Improve the flow by making each paragraph develop one central claim, connecting examples explicitly to that claim, and using complete sentences and clearer references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “unsatisfactory,” “low-paying,” “acquiring,” and “opportunities,” and the meaning is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make the expression less natural. Examples include “unpleasent,” “thrieve,” “very in,” and “higher rank in business.” Phrases such as “difficult time period of life” and “bad situations” are also vague or awkward. Aim for more precise language about employment and financial hardship, and check spelling and common word partnerships. This would make your ideas clearer and more convincing without changing their basic meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional idea in “When the person has to support their family…” and a contrast introduced by “but.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, and verb forms sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “then he have to do” has incorrect agreement, while “Many people starts” uses the wrong verb form. “However, because their parents cannot afford educational expenses” is a dependent clause presented as a complete sentence. There are also shifts between “people,” “he,” and “you,” which weaken grammatical consistency. Practise building complete sentences and checking subject–verb agreement, pronoun reference, and verb forms.
