Student answer (Band 5.0)
Some people have faith that accepting bad situation is best like unsatisfactory job or shortage of money while others argue that it is better to try and improve such situations.
Both of ideas says different thoughts regarding bad situations. I would prefer it is better to try and improve such situations.
When a person face a bad condition such as unsatisfactory job or shortage of money he should try his best to get out of the situation. In real life we are responsible for our situations if we do not try to make ourself better nothing will be changed.
For instance a person is doing a job in a bakery as cashier. He has skills in technical field of computer science like web development and software development but he has to work in bakery as cashier and becomes unsatistfied with his job and salary. He should polish his skills. Then he should try to get job related to his experties. If he gets such a related job then he will get piece of mind.
On the contrary if we seek for acceptance of the situation it can be benificial in certain conditions. If a person does not have any other job opportunities. He should accept the bad situation to meet his financial requirements. Condition gets better over time. He should face the situation and try to resolve issues.
For instance a person who is not very skilled and has a job. But there are some bad situations and has no other job option. He must accept the situation.
At the end both conditions are right according to situations whether he has other oppotunities or not.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state a clear preference for trying to improve a difficult situation: “I would prefer it is better to try and improve such situations.” The bakery cashier example supports this position by showing how someone might use existing technical skills to seek better work. You also recognise that accepting a situation may be practical when there are no other job opportunities. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the reasons for accepting hardship and the claim that “Condition gets better over time” are not explained or supported. The conclusion repeats that both views depend on circumstances rather than clearly restating your own judgement. The response meets the required length; 21 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting improvement, a contrasting paragraph about acceptance, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “On the contrary” help signal the shift between views, and the examples are placed near the ideas they illustrate. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several points are repeated rather than developed. For example, the final paragraph says a person with no other job option “must accept the situation,” echoing the previous paragraph without adding a new reason. Some links between sentences are abrupt, and “At the end” does not lead to a decisive summary. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the argument it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “unsatisfactory job,” “financial requirements,” “technical field,” and “job opportunities,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts to express abstract ideas, such as “acceptance of the situation.” However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which makes parts of the response less clear. Examples include “faith” for belief, “piece of mind” for peace of mind, and “polish his skills” where “develop” or “improve” would be more natural. Spelling errors such as “benificial,” “experties,” and “oppotunities” are noticeable. Aim for accurate, natural phrases rather than using more elaborate wording that does not fit the context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “If a person does not have any other job opportunities, he should accept the bad situation.” This helps communicate the main argument. However, the range remains limited, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward. For example, “Both of ideas says different thoughts” has problems with the article, agreement, and phrasing, while “When a person face” needs subject–verb agreement. The sentence beginning “If a person does not have any other job opportunities” is also separated from the following clause by a full stop. Practise building accurate complex sentences and checking each sentence for a complete main clause.
