Student answer (Band 5.0)

People have differing views on whether the good way is accept crisis like lack of money and bad job or try to manage stuatin to make it better.

On the one hand, those who support that accept a bad sitiuation argue that this is hamrful for their health to make feel stress. This largely becuase when a person has shortage of money they feel low and do not spend their time with faimly member happily. For Instance, when a person that doing job at night he feel tired and they think that he goes to home and feel better but at home he thinks that its salary is no too much for their faimly expense. Therefore, it is understandable why some people consider accepting a sitiation is to be a prefrable choice.

On the otherahands, i find arguments in favour of improve a situation more convinicing.

The main reason is that if a person do hardwork and make attention on their work it should be make their life convient. For example, If a person face difficulty in their work it should need to consistent on their work until they make reliable it is more beeter than losing their hope. For these reasons, I believe that improve a situation offers greater advantages than accepting a bad situation.

In conclusion, although accepting a situation can make temporaly happiness but i believe that improve a situation makes a whole life bet

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You present a relevant opinion: you favour improving difficult circumstances, and you discuss reasons for accepting them, particularly the stress and effects on family life. However, the discussion is only partial and the ideas remain under-developed. The example about a night worker and an inadequate salary is difficult to follow and does not clearly show why acceptance is preferable. Your argument for improvement—that effort can make life more convenient—is also asserted rather than explained or supported with a clear example. The conclusion is cut off, so it does not fully restate your view. The response is also 12 words below the required minimum. Develop each side with a clear explanation and a specific, relevant example, then complete the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some connections are difficult to follow. For instance, the night-work example moves from tiredness to feeling better at home and then to salary concerns without making the relationship between these points clear. The second body paragraph also shifts quickly from hard work to difficulty at work and persistence. The final sentence ends abruptly, weakening the overall organisation. Use clearer topic sentences and explain how each example supports its paragraph’s main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “shortage of money,” “stress,” “family,” and “advantages,” so the main subject is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited, and frequent spelling errors and inaccurate word choices sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Examples include “sitiuation,” “hamrful,” “convinicing,” and “temporaly.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, such as “make attention on their work” and “make reliable it.” Aim to learn accurate collocations for discussing employment and financial hardship, and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions would help you explain the two viewpoints without relying on repeated general words such as “situation” and “person.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “This largely because” and a conditional structure beginning “if a person.” These attempts show some range, but many sentences contain errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction, which can make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “when a person has shortage of money they feel low” needs an article and clearer agreement, while “it should be make their life” has an incorrect verb pattern. The sentence beginning “For Instance, when a person that doing job at night” is also structurally incomplete. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and conditionals, checking that each sentence has a complete main clause.
