Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You introduce both views and state a clear preference for improving the situation: “personally, in my opinion it is better to improve situation.” The examples about staying in a job without a backup plan and developing skills are relevant. However, the response addresses the task only partially: the second view is cut off after “various benefits,” and your own opinion is not explained beyond the opening statement. The first view receives more explanation, but some points, such as how budgeting leads to “personal growth and stability,” need clearer support. The response is also 63 words below the required minimum, which leaves important ideas undeveloped. Complete the discussion of both views and explain why your preferred approach is better, using a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph beginning “On the one hand,” and a contrasting paragraph beginning “On the other hand.” Examples and phrases such as “Additionally” and “For example” help signal the relationship between ideas. However, the overall progression is incomplete because the final paragraph ends abruptly at “benefits.s,” with no conclusion to bring the discussion together or restate your position. Some links are mechanical, and the connection between accepting hardship and developing adaptability could be made more explicit. Develop each paragraph around one main point, use clear transitions between explanation and example, and finish with a concise conclusion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt some topic-appropriate vocabulary, including “unsatisfactory job,” “backup plan,” “adaptability,” “additional qualification,” and “long-term goal.” These choices show an effort to discuss employment and financial hardship, but the range is limited and several spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “financial crisis” where the meaning may be broader than intended, “overcome from,” “unemployement,” and “unfulfiling job.” Some phrases, such as “ensure their financial difficulties,” do not express the intended meaning clearly. Check spelling carefully and learn common word partnerships, for example “overcome a difficult situation” and “maintain financial stability.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “leaving unsatisfactory job without having backup plan can lead to…” and a relative clause in “person who is running from shortage of money.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence boundaries, articles, agreement, and verb forms. For instance, “there is another options” has a number-agreement error, while “improvements … can offers” uses an incorrect verb form. Missing sentence punctuation and inconsistent capitalisation also make the writing harder to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with articles and subject–verb agreement, then proofread each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
