Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You identify recycling as beneficial, mentioning that it can save money and protect the environment, and you suggest educating people about recycling plastics and other materials. However, the task asks both why people do not recycle enough and what could change this. Your response mainly describes advantages of recycling; it does not clearly explain the reasons people fail to recycle, such as limited facilities, inconvenience, or lack of awareness. The proposed action is also only briefly stated and not developed with an example or explanation. The response is 97 words below the required minimum, which leaves too little space to address both questions adequately. Develop a clear explanation for each part and support it with specific examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
The response stays broadly focused on recycling, and simple links such as “But,” “After,” and “however” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the writing is presented as one continuous block, so the reader cannot easily distinguish an introduction, reasons, and solutions. Several points are repeated—especially that recycling saves money and protects the environment—without a clear progression. Some connections are also unclear, as in “By recycling habbit we can change the format around of us.” Organise the response into paragraphs that follow the task’s two questions, and use each paragraph to develop one main point. Clearer referencing and fewer repeated statements would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycling,” “rubbish,” “environment,” and “save our money,” so the general subject is understandable. There is also an attempt to express related ideas, such as using an item more than once. However, the vocabulary is basic and repetitive, with “recycling” and “thing” appearing frequently, and some word choices or forms are inaccurate: “habbit,” “plustics,” and “Buy recycling.” Phrases such as “change the format around of us” are difficult to interpret. Build a wider set of precise terms for causes and solutions, such as “lack of recycling facilities,” “separate waste,” and “public awareness campaign.” Check spelling and choose natural collocations so your meaning is consistently clear.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You mainly use short, simple sentences, and some basic structures communicate straightforward ideas, for example, “Recycling can also help us to save our environment.” You also attempt a contrast with “however,” showing some willingness to vary sentence forms. However, the range remains limited, and errors occur in sentence boundaries, articles, agreement, and verb patterns. For example, “We are human being. We use” needs a plural noun and punctuation, while “if we know how to recycling it” uses an incorrect verb form. “If we throw things after using one time” is an incomplete conditional sentence, and “People may use a thing one time” would be clearer with an appropriate article or plural. Practise accurate complete sentences and then combine related ideas using controlled complex structures.
