Student answer (Band 5.0)

Most of the counries people feels shame to recycle rubbish even at their own home beacuse they think about their high maintain status so thats why they could not recycling any thing.

Many countries specially they have industries to recycle things for reuse. Which is very beneficial for them and alot of people reuse their rubbish as much as they can. Furthermore, people should value for money if they value his/her money then they can easily rebuilt those things which is actually look good.

For example, China is one of major country who made palstic things and recycle alot of rubbish such as they reuse plastic bottles with proccessing multiple prosedures then they built new things with old materials. On the other hand, Japan is doing the same thing they also use waste things to recycle and they both are doing recycling last many years, it is very beneficial for them.

We buy most of the thing which is made by mostly China, they made things 40% of waste material and this is not injuries for health, these type of product we dont use who connect in to mounth or kitchen pots. Moreover, binbags, dustbins, plant pots, many other things they made and they earn for their country so thats why China GDP is very high than other big countries beacuse they are self suficient. Although,Countries needs to take action on it and make new policies about recycling which is more beneficial for their own countries. And the major reason is to develop these policies to make your country first of all self suficient and do more export business in your country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You attempt to address both why recycling is limited and what could be done, and the examples of China and Japan show an effort to support your points. However, the response only partially answers the question: the proposed reason that people want to maintain a high status is not explained or supported, and most of the discussion describes recycling industries rather than why individuals do not recycle. Your recommendation to introduce policies is relevant, but it remains general; you do not explain what policies might change people’s behaviour. The position is also difficult to identify because the response shifts between personal habits, manufacturing, exports and national GDP. Develop one or two clear causes and match each with a specific, explained solution.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has paragraph breaks and uses linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “For example,” and “On the other hand,” which gives the reader some signposting. However, ideas do not progress clearly from causes to solutions: the opening claim about status is followed by a discussion of industries, then examples of countries, and finally exports and GDP. Some links are also unclear or do not express the intended relationship; for instance, “On the other hand” introduces a similar example about Japan rather than a contrast. Several sentences contain multiple ideas joined together, making the line of argument hard to follow. Organise the response into a cause paragraph and a solution paragraph, and use transitions that accurately show how each point relates to the next.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “recycle,” “reuse,” “waste material,” “policies,” and “self sufficient,” so the subject is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “high maintain status,” “value for money,” and “rebuilt those things.” Spelling errors are also noticeable, including “counries,” “beacuse,” “palstic,” and “suficient,” and these reduce the clarity and accuracy of the message. Aim to use precise terms for the causes and solutions, and check spelling carefully. Learning common combinations such as “recycling facilities,” “public awareness,” and “financial incentives” would help you express ideas more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “if they value his/her money then they can…” and a relative clause in “things which is actually look good.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence boundaries can make the argument difficult to follow. For example, “people feels” should use a plural verb, while “they could not recycling” needs a different verb form. The sentence beginning “Many countries specially…” is also incomplete, and several long sentences join clauses without clear punctuation. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them with correctly formed clauses and check subject–verb agreement and verb patterns.
