Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt—reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions—but the development is superficial and repetitive. The ideas are presented in a circular manner, such as the repeated focus on 'cleaning the country' without exploring deeper socio-economic or infrastructural reasons for low recycling. The argument lacks specific examples or logical depth, relying on generalizations about people being 'careless.' To improve, you should provide distinct, well-supported reasons (e.g., lack of government facilities, public awareness) and concrete solutions (e.g., educational campaigns, tax incentives).
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay lacks clear logical progression. Ideas are often linked by simple repetition rather than cohesive devices. Paragraphing is present but the internal structure of the paragraphs is weak, with sentences often feeling disjointed or redundant. There is an over-reliance on basic conjunctions and a lack of transition words to guide the reader through your argument. To improve, focus on using linking words like 'consequently,' 'furthermore,' or 'on the other hand' to connect your ideas and ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts the ability to convey complex ideas. Phrases like 'clean their country' and 'recycle their rubbish' are used repeatedly throughout the text. There are also issues with word formation and collocation, such as 'low their country level' and 'very usefull.' To reach a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary to include more precise terms related to environmental issues, such as 'sustainability,' 'waste management,' 'infrastructure,' or 'public awareness campaigns.'
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are significant issues with sentence structure, including run-on sentences and fragments (e.g., 'Many countries people do not recycle...'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent. While there is an attempt to use complex ideas, the lack of control over basic sentence construction makes the writing difficult to follow. Focus on mastering simple sentence structures first, ensuring correct punctuation and subject-verb agreement, before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
