Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the current era, there are so many people of different countries dose not tend to recycle there weist which for which they are capable to do. I totaly agree with the statement because there are so many ways in which one can do recycle there weist but they are not doing it.

To begin with, as we can see that the weist is the biggest problem of todays world and there are different measurs taken by the govenment of different nations to resolve this issue but people are not doing that with their full potentioal. Because whenever we step out of our house we see in our surrounding that there is to much of garbage and people are not willing to recycling it. Along with this, there are specific type of groups out there who dose not have any sence of understang about the environment as there unseriusness is demaging the environment very much.

I belive that there should be some measurs should be taken so that people will understand the importance about the environment. Govenment should run the awairness campaign to spreed the knowledge and importance of recycling the weist. Secondely, govenrment authorities should make strict rules for recycling the garbage. Also there should be some amount of fine on people who dose not follow these rules. Moreover, there should be specific garbage bins for recyclable weist and un-recyclable garbage.

To conclude, not recycling the weist is the biggest proble of todays world as people are capeble to do but they are limiting them self for recycling the weist. There should be some importent rules to be made for this issue and everyone should be awair about this.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions. However, the development is limited. The reasons provided—such as 'unseriousness' and lack of awareness—are somewhat repetitive and lack depth or specific examples. The solutions, while relevant, are presented in a list-like fashion without sufficient elaboration on how they would effectively change behavior. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more concrete explanations or hypothetical scenarios, moving beyond general statements to provide a more nuanced analysis of the problem.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or repetitive (e.g., 'To begin with', 'Along with this', 'Secondely'). There are also instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'which for which they are capable to do'. While the progression of ideas is generally logical, the transitions between sentences could be smoother and more varied to improve the overall readability of the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'weist' for waste, 'measurs' for measures, 'govenment' for government, 'awairness' for awareness, 'sence' for sense) which occasionally hinder the reader. The word choice is often simplistic, and there is a reliance on basic terminology. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common academic words and expanding your vocabulary to include more precise synonyms for general terms like 'problem' or 'rules'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'groups... dose not', 'people... dose not'), incorrect word forms (e.g., 'willing to recycling'), and awkward sentence construction (e.g., 'there should be some measurs should be taken'). These errors are frequent and sometimes make the meaning slightly difficult to grasp. You should focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and proofreading for common agreement and tense errors to improve your accuracy.
