Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, where every country has become more successful than before, there are still a lot of countries in which people don not recycle their waste although they have potential to do this. There are various reasons for this, such as they do not know about benefits of recycling and they consider it unneccassary. Different measures should be taken to minimize this. This essay will examine the main causes of this issue before suggesting some effective solutions.
One of the main reasons is that people still lack in having essential information regarding recycling benefits. It is because there are no proper organisations that spread particular awareness about its advantages. As a result, less people are familiar with this approach. If government takes initiative for educating a wide range of individuals, then more people will take interest in recycling their waste, and they will take it's advantage.
The second main reason for this that people are busy in their job and house management, so they think it is not worthy and useless for them. It does not allow them to make some time for sending their waste materials to specially designed organisations for useful purposes. If they show interest in this particular task and allocate a small time for this activity, this will lead to their personal benefit and ultimately brings a great profit to a country's economy.
To conclude, although it has enormous advantages for individual and the government, it is least practice in some places. From my perspective, goverment should play an important role in providing awareness throgh different schemes and advertisements, so that more people recycle their waste.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the lack of awareness and the perception of recycling as time-consuming. However, the development is somewhat superficial. For instance, the suggestion that the government should 'provide awareness' is a good start, but it lacks specific detail or examples of how this could be implemented effectively. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more concrete examples or deeper analysis of the consequences. The position is clear throughout, but the overall development remains a bit basic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two main ideas. Cohesive devices are present, such as 'One of the main reasons', 'As a result', and 'To conclude'. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as 'it's advantage' (which should be 'its'). The flow is generally smooth, but the range of cohesive devices could be more varied to improve the overall sophistication of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on common phrases like 'modern era', 'main reasons', and 'useful purposes'. There are also some spelling errors, such as 'unneccassary' and 'throgh', and minor collocation issues like 'least practice' (should be 'least practiced'). While the meaning is always clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or idiomatic language. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to environmental sustainability and waste management.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'people don not recycle', 'If government takes initiative', and 'it does not allow them to make some time'. Punctuation is generally acceptable, but there are errors in possessive forms (e.g., 'it's advantage' instead of 'its'). The errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve your accuracy.
