Student answer (Band 5.0)

I believe that in many countries recycling is not consider as much neccessary however other countries force their residents to recycle things.

In my opinion recycling is a very good process in economics of a country.

Idol bottles or other plastic things recycled in factories and after some process new arrival of product appear in the market.

For instance in pakistan you see dustbin on roads also see bnners , posters with marking of to clean environment and put dust in the dustbin. I think this is very impactfull on the nations mind when they see poster they remember that to clean roads. Essentially our government run a scheme name by "saf suthra punjab" very helpful to keep environment neat and clean. The team visits cities as well as villages and take all dust also keep roads and drains clean. Fortunately when a country put efforts the outcome will be also in a better result.

On the other hand as we say that some countries recycling is not such importent , their environment also effect in a bad way. We saw dust everywhere the impression of that country would be not impressed.

Their childs again and again use , usefull bottles also be cause in increasing their health issues.

In hospitals if injections or other harm things like hospital knife and some operations things not be recycled they cause harmful chamicals and produce some other health issues.

To sum up recycling play a vital role for fresh air and clean environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for low recycling rates and potential solutions. However, the development is inconsistent. While the example of the 'Saf Suthra Punjab' scheme is relevant, other points, such as the mention of hospital waste, are underdeveloped and lack a clear connection to the prompt's focus on general public recycling habits. The position is generally clear, but the argument lacks depth and analytical rigor. To improve, you should focus on expanding your ideas with more detailed explanations rather than listing disparate examples, ensuring each paragraph directly supports your central argument regarding why recycling is neglected and how it can be improved.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression between ideas is often disjointed. Cohesive devices are used, but they are frequently mechanical or misused, such as 'Idol bottles' (likely meaning 'old') or the abrupt transition to the hospital example. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of the argument. Paragraphing is present but does not always group related ideas effectively. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using a wider range of linking words more naturally and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate, which occasionally impedes communication. There are frequent errors in word choice, such as 'not consider as much neccessary' instead of 'not considered necessary' and 'new arrival of product' instead of 'recycled products'. Spelling errors are also frequent (e.g., 'neccessary', 'bnners', 'impactfull', 'importent', 'chamicals'). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. To improve, you should focus on learning common collocations related to environmental issues and proofreading your work to correct basic spelling and word-form errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures, and there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'recycling play a vital role'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'not be recycled they cause'), and missing articles or prepositions. Complex sentence attempts are often faulty, leading to confusion. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors puts a strain on the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of auxiliary verbs, before attempting more complex structures.
