Student answer (Band 5.0)

In many countries, people donot recycle their rubbish as much as they could because of several reasons. Recycling is the most important part in making the enviroment clean and make the land pollution free. According to many famous scientists and experiments plastic does,nt decompose into soil.

Peoples mostly throw thier rubbish on roads and vacand soils which can pollute the land and cause the swear health problems in humand and animals as well.Government does,nt encourge peoples living in a country to do recycling specially of plastic, peoples just mostly ignore it and think about it as a normal daily behaviour but ,It has a swear long term issues. In many countries the compaigns have launched to train the peoples how to recycle their rubbish but they failed to train them because of non serious attitude and taking it as a non serious goal.

Government must launched the program to train peoples about makin gth eenviroment clean and healthy and also teach them how to recycle their rubbish, most of the private program must be launched to train the peoples how to reuse thier rubbish and teach them a concept of three pillars , reduce reuse and recycle .

Overall according to my point of view most of the countries already invested toward this proces but some how their are still some countries where the government have to encourage peoples to recycle their rubbish. Private communities of society tech peoples living in the society that they must have to make the society clean and reuse their rubbish espacially plastic.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt by discussing the reasons why people do not recycle as much as they could, such as a lack of government encouragement and a non-serious attitude, and suggesting solutions like education programmes and the three Rs concept. However, the ideas are somewhat repetitive and lack deep development or specific examples. Phrases like 'peoples just mostly ignore it' reflect generalisations without fully exploring the underlying socioeconomic or infrastructural causes. While all prompt requirements are touched upon, the lack of thorough elaboration places this response firmly at Band 5.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays a basic organisation with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing some overall progression of ideas. However, paragraphing is poorly handled, with a lack of clear separation between reasons and solutions. Cohesive devices are frequently inadequate, inaccurate, or repetitive; for instance, the excessive use of commas and awkward conjunctions ('but ,It has a swear long term issues') disrupts the flow. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between sentences can be abrupt, indicating shortcomings typical of Band 5.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and repetitive, with noticeable errors in spelling, word formation, and word choice throughout the text. Examples include 'enviroment', 'donot', 'vacand', 'swear' (severe), 'compaigns', and 'espacially'. While the writer attempts some topic-related vocabulary like 'pollution', 'decompose', and 'reduce reuse and recycle', the high frequency of basic spelling and lexical errors causes some difficulty for the reader and restricts the score to a Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control is weak. There are frequent grammatical and punctuation errors, such as comma splices ('peoples mostly throw thier rubbish on roads... which can pollute...'), subject-verb agreement issues ('Government does,nt encourge', 'camps have launched'), and awkward phrasing ('Government must launched the program'). These errors occur consistently throughout the response and frequently impede smooth communication, reflecting the characteristics of a Band 5 performance.
