Student answer (Band 4.5)
yes! you are right most of people does not recycle there wastes and rubbish they use products as they need than after need they do not recycle it is very serious it issue which we should think and work on it. If we see other countries infrastructure and enviroment there is most of countries are
looking not good and have much more rubbish like in nigeria and asian countries they dont think about good envrioment is depend on cleanes and we should focus on good enviroment if they think and doing there rubbish product recycle they will change there society to better environment.i am thinking in my area there is nobody recycle there rubbish but i want to change my area and i can if a person doing it from one then others automaticaly keep this habbits and they see me and they will happy.I can make groups and give awaerness session in my school inmy friends and my residential society that may be somthing changes because until and unless i dont tell about this negative act and about this side effects which people will be ultimatly face so first i will give them knowledge about is then people will think and be serious and will recycle their rubbish as much as they could.Whenever we sit in my group circle and somthing eat then i will prohibits my friends for recycle their rappers and rubbish after using. When my house will clean i will focus of my home bin if this almost full i immediatly take it and transfer to public dustbin because labors will clean public dust bins daily bases.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, attempting to explain why people do not recycle as much as they could and suggesting solutions. However, the development of ideas is limited and heavily reliant on personal anecdotes rather than fully extended general arguments. For instance, the discussion on why people fail to recycle in different countries is simplistic, stating 'they dont think about good envrioment is depend on cleanes'. The solutions proposed, such as making groups and giving awareness sessions in school or residential societies, are relevant but lack detailed elaboration. The overall position is clear, but the ideas remain at a surface level, aligning best with a Band 5 descriptor where the task is addressed, but the concepts are under-developed and limited.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The text suffers from a major structural deficiency as it is written as one continuous, unbroken block of text without any paragraph breaks. There is a complete lack of paragraphing, which severely hinders the logical flow and visual organisation of the essay. Cohesive devices are either missing or rudimentary and inaccurate, with heavy reliance on run-on sentences and comma splices, such as 'When my house will clean i will focus of my home bin if this almost full i immediatly take it'. Although there is an underlying progression from causes to personal solutions, the absence of appropriate paragraphing and reliable cohesive ties prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. This performance corresponds to a Band 4, where information and ideas are not arranged coherently through proper structural divisions.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently relying on everyday words such as 'rubbish', 'waste', 'good', and 'clean'. There are numerous lexical and spelling inaccuracies throughout the text, including 'enviroment' instead of environment, 'cleanes' instead of cleanliness, 'habbits' instead of habits, and 'awaerness' instead of awareness. The student attempts to use less common items like 'residential society' and 'ultimately', but collocation and word choice are frequently awkward, such as 'prohibits my friends for recycle their rappers'. The range is limited and minimally adequate for conveying very basic meaning, but noticeable errors cause strain for the reader, fitting the Band 4 profile where basic vocabulary and frequent errors are prominent.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The grammatical range is extremely limited, consisting almost entirely of simple and poorly controlled complex sentences. The text is plagued by severe punctuation errors, notably run-on sentences and comma splices that string multiple independent clauses together without proper coordination or full stops, as seen in 'If we see other countries infrastructure and enviroment there is most of countries are looking not good and have much more rubbish'. Subject-verb agreement errors are frequent, such as 'most of people does not recycle there wastes' and 'a person doing it from one then others automaticaly keep this habbits'. Frequent grammatical errors distort meaning and make the text difficult to read, which firmly places this response at Band 4 due to the high frequency of basic structural errors.
