Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is a matter of debate that masses in various nations don't recycle their garbage eventhough they can do this. In my opinion there are some basic reasons for these problems. There are some main solutions for this tragic situation that can tackle this issue.
The main reason of people's bad habbit of not recycling their rubbish is because they lack awareness of the impact of these things on environment. They just wants to get rid of this rubbish as early as possible instead of wasting time on its recycling. Secondly, in most under developed countries masses are usually ignorant ,some of them may even don't know what is called recycling and what is its process. Lastly, the government in many countries usually don't focus on these developments and their implementations in all parts of country also including rural areas.
According to my temprament these situations can be overcome by adopting certain initiatives. First and foremost, their should be a public awareness among all individuals about the impacts of non-recycled materials on sorroundings. Moreover, the proper machinery of recycling processes must be placed in all areas of country so that people can utilize these equipments to recycle different things. Last but not least, authorties should focus on different stratigies to improve recycling by providing awareness and by making small fines as punishment for those who don't follow the rules. These are some necessary steps that can play vital role in assisting these everyday issues.
To end up my discussion, I would say that the main reason of people's wrong behaviour is that they ignores the impacts of their actions and local government can tackle this overwhelming issue by applying different possible solutions.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the reasons why people fail to recycle and proposing viable solutions to change this behavior. The position is clear throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is uneven. While the causes are mentioned, such as the lack of awareness and governmental neglect, some points are somewhat under-developed or rely on broad generalisations, such as the claim that masses in under-developed countries are generally ignorant. To reach a higher band, the response would need to extend and support all ideas more thoroughly with specific, fully elaborated examples rather than brief assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear logical progression from introduction to body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, separating the causes and solutions into distinct sections. Cohesive devices are employed to connect ideas, such as 'Secondly', 'Lastly', and 'First and foremost'. However, referencing and cohesion can occasionally feel somewhat mechanical or repetitive, and transitional phrases sometimes link sentences in a simplistic way. To move up to the next band, the cohesion needs to be managed more flexibly and naturally throughout the text without relying on formulaic transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, successfully communicating the main ideas. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'tragic situation', 'overwhelming issue', and 'vital role', but these attempts occasionally suffer from slight inaccuracies in word choice or collocation, such as 'bad habbit' and 'small fines'. There are also several spelling errors present, including 'eventhough', 'temprament', 'sorroundings', 'authorties', and 'stratigies'. These lexical errors do not seriously impede communication, but they restrict the score. A wider, more precise range of vocabulary and greater accuracy in spelling and word choice are required to achieve a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures like conditional clauses and relative clauses. However, there are noticeable errors in grammar and punctuation, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('masses ... don't know', 'their should be'), article omissions ('in all areas of country'), and preposition errors ('impact of these things on environment'). While these errors are present, they do not severely impede communication. To attain a higher band, the writer would need to produce a higher proportion of error-free complex sentences and exercise better control over articles, singular/plural agreement, and structural punctuation.
