Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, it is a major problem in many countries that rubbish or trashes are not being recycled by public.Due to they are unconcious about environment and a lack of time.To erase this issue government should take neccesary steps as well as people also have to be aware about this. In this essay will explain why they are so unconcious and what can prevent this matter.
Mostly this problem happens in large population countries where individuals are busy with their daily life and they believe recycling is not their type of job as a result they throw away rubbish not thinking that it can not be recycled. As well as they don't worry about environment. For example, In Bangaladesh people hand over this complex task to government and they are throwing away their daily rubbish also they don't think that how it can effect on society and environment. They conclude they don't have a time to do that thus, people had to face different types of pollution.
Government should enforce strict laws about this and people will also have to aware not only environment but also recycling their daily rubbish. For an example, if government take steps and can take a action on those people who throw their trash rather than recycling will be not only punished but also it will take a significant amount of money.Adding that, if people follow the rules and be aware of environment and society it can be solved and controlled
In my view, Government should force some new rules and public should raise alert about unneccesary rubbish. If both public and government can do this job together people can enjoy a healthy life with better environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you suggest that people are too busy and see recycling as someone else’s responsibility, then propose government rules and greater public awareness. The Bangladesh example and the reference to pollution help make the causes relevant. However, some ideas are asserted rather than explained—for instance, you say people “don’t worry about environment” without showing why, and the proposed penalties are not developed into a clear, practical solution. Your position that government and the public must act together is clear, especially in the conclusion, but the discussion of causes and remedies is uneven. Explain the effects of each cause and show how a specific measure would change behaviour.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a concluding view. This makes the main line of argument easy to identify. You also use linking expressions such as “For example,” “As well as,” and “In my view.” However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening sentence “Due to they are…” is not properly connected to the preceding idea, while “Adding that” does not clearly introduce the next point. Several ideas are crowded into long sentences, and references such as “this” and “it” can be vague. Use clearer topic sentences and divide explanations and examples into more controlled sentences to improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “recycled,” “strict laws,” “pollution,” and “environment,” and you attempt more formal expressions such as “enforce strict laws.” However, the range is limited and some word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which occasionally makes the meaning less clear. Examples include “rubbish or trashes,” “erase this issue,” “raise alert,” and “a significant amount of money” where the intended meaning appears to be a fine. Spelling errors such as “unconcious,” “neccesary,” and “Bangaladesh” also affect accuracy. Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check spelling and natural word combinations; this will help you express your ideas without relying on repeated general terms such as “problem” and “steps.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect structures and conditional ideas, as in “if people follow the rules … it can be solved.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in sentence construction, verb forms, articles, and punctuation are noticeable. For example, “Due to they are…” needs a different grammatical structure, and “In this essay will explain” is missing a subject. In “if government take steps,” the verb form and article are not controlled, while “people will also have to aware” is missing a required verb form. Several sentences run together without appropriate punctuation. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check each clause for a subject, a correctly formed verb, and clear punctuation.
