Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question by identifying possible causes—limited awareness, weak regulation, and shortages of technology and funding—and suggesting government rules, equipment, and investment. These are relevant ideas, but they are mostly listed rather than explained or supported with a specific example. For instance, you say that people focus on the present and may not understand future harm, but you do not show how this leads to low recycling or illustrate the impact. The proposed measures also need clearer explanation of how they would change people’s behaviour. Your opening discusses what the essay will cover rather than establishing a clear, direct position. Develop fewer points with reasons or examples, and make the link between each cause and solution explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, one on solutions, and a conclusion. This gives the reader a basic route through the answer. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow because several ideas are joined in long sequences, often with repeated links such as “and also” and “which help.” The causes paragraph moves from awareness to technology, equipment, and budgets without clearly separating or developing each point. Some connections are also unclear, as in the contrast between developed countries and their supposed lack of equipment. Use one main idea per paragraph or clearly signposted section, and connect each explanation to the next with accurate, varied transitions. Clearer sentence boundaries and references would make the organisation easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “awareness,” “rules and regulation,” “technology and equipment,” and “pollution,” so the main subject is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, especially “lack of” and “recycle of rubbish.” There are also noticeable word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems, such as “upcoming diaster,” “allocated money for the process of recycling of goods,” and “their product,” which make some meanings unclear. Aim for more precise topic language and check common word partnerships and word forms. For example, distinguish between recycling waste and reducing the quantity of goods, and use consistent terms for people, governments, and countries.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt some longer sentences and use basic linking structures, but control is weak: many sentences contain errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction, and these sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “public would not liked,” “This has happend,” and “government should made rules.” The sentence beginning “the primary reason of this is lacking of awareness” also lacks a clear grammatical structure, while the final sentence is incomplete and difficult to interpret. Most ideas are expressed through extended strings of clauses rather than controlled sentence patterns. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time. Check subject–verb agreement, verb forms after modal verbs, and punctuation to separate complete ideas.
