Student answer (Band 5.0)

In many countries , people do not recycle their rubbish as mush as they could because they don't teach to recycle their rubbish from child hood or parents and relatives so they don't have any idea or knowledge.

India is the most popular countary as well but in India peoples don't have any idea about how they recycle their rubbish because they don't have any source of learning about how to recycle own rubbish in useful things , I noticed every day the truck from nagar nigam is coming to every society in morning and everybody is through their rubbish in truck because they don't have any idea what they lose every morning.

The solution of not recycling the rubbish is to provide the information to peoples about what the importance of recycling rubbish by the help of posters and relly especially in India. I saw a relly last year at my hometown they are students of secondary school and the posters , paintings and slogs are in thier hand , after that i noticed in my colony some neighbours collect the wastage and creating more creative things and paste on their wall or front door.

After all may be India is not the only countary and the relly is not the only solution in this world , If do research on this then we will find the all countary like India and provides the solution in the form of other ideas and then we can teach to the all countary about the importance of recycle rubbish.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions: you suggest that people lack early education about recycling, and you propose posters and rallies as ways to raise awareness. The example of students campaigning and neighbours reusing waste gives the response a relevant personal illustration. However, the reasons and solutions remain limited and are not fully explained; for example, the claim that people do not know “what they lose every morning” is unclear, and the final paragraph mentions researching other countries without developing a specific solution. The response is also below the required 250 words: 10 words copied from the prompt were not counted, and the counted response is 246 words. Develop the causes and explain how each proposed action would change behaviour.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure: it introduces a cause, gives an example from India, proposes awareness campaigns, and ends with a general conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main stages of your answer. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and links between ideas can feel mechanical or imprecise. For instance, “After all” does not clearly signal the concluding point, while “If do research on this” leaves the relationship between research and the proposed action uncertain. Some ideas are repeated, particularly the lack of knowledge about recycling. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each cause to a specific solution, with pronouns and linking phrases that make the relationships explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “recycle,” “rubbish,” “posters,” “paintings,” and “importance,” and the reader can generally understand your main message. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts difficult to interpret. Phrases such as “the most popular countary,” “through their rubbish in truck,” and “creating more creative things” do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also repeated forms such as “idea” and “recycle rubbish,” which restrict precision. Build a wider set of accurate topic phrases, such as “separate household waste” and “raise public awareness,” and check spelling and collocations carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences using clauses such as “because” and “after that,” showing some effort to connect ideas grammatically. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty, so the reader sometimes has to work to understand the meaning. Examples include “they don't teach to recycle their rubbish from child hood,” “everybody is through their rubbish in truck,” and “If do research on this.” These contain problems with verb forms, sentence construction, and missing grammatical elements. There are also issues with articles, plurals, and punctuation, including inconsistent spacing around commas. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, then combine them using subordinate clauses.
