Student answer (Band 4.0)
There will be an ongoing debate about whether in many countries people do not recycle their rubbish as much as they could. Some people thick that they do not rubbish their as much they could. But others do not agree. I agree with this statement people do not recycle their rubbish but some changes can be taken. I will explain own opinion on the upcoming paragraph.
First of all, people do not recycle their rubbish because different bacteria here in the rubbish. People trow their rubbish on the bin like the plastics bags, cotton boxes and other material. There are different type of bacteria in the rubbish. Factories recylce the rubbish and make the different new product. People use this product in daily routine for our homes.I really agree with people do not recycle their rubbish because this is very dangerous to the human health.
Furthermore, there are some drawbacks if people donot recycle their rubbish it has very bad effect on environment. When the rubbish cannot recyle it has different effect on environment like the water pollution, air pollution etc. The people dump their rubbish on the ocean and rural areas. They effect on the ecosystem like the disturbance of all the water species and disturb the people lives in the rural area.
In conclusion, I agree with the people do not recycle their rubbish because this is dangerous for the health. Other thing is that if people do not recycle their rubbish it is very dangerous effect on environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You state a position—“I agree”—and identify environmental harm, including water and air pollution and effects on aquatic species. However, the task asks both why recycling is limited and what can be done to change this. Your explanation about bacteria does not clearly explain why people fail to recycle, and you give no practical measures, such as convenient collection points, public education or incentives. The conclusion repeats the health and environmental concerns rather than answering the missing part. The response is also 237 words, below the 250-word minimum; 14 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To improve, address both questions directly and develop each point with a clear explanation or example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “First of all,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help show the intended structure. However, the progression is difficult to follow because the first body paragraph shifts from bacteria to factories and then to human health without clearly connecting these points. The second paragraph describes environmental consequences but does not link them to a solution or a developed argument. Some references, such as “They” in “They effect on the ecosystem,” are unclear. Build each paragraph around one main idea, explain how each sentence relates to it, and use linking expressions to show cause and effect rather than relying mainly on basic sequencing phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “recycle,” “water pollution,” “air pollution” and “ecosystem,” so the general subject is identifiable. However, vocabulary is repetitive, especially repeated forms of “rubbish” and “dangerous,” and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear: “people do not rubbish their,” “different bacteria here in the rubbish,” and “disturbance of all the water species.” There are also spelling errors such as “thick,” “trow” and “recyle.” These limitations reduce precision, even though the reader can understand the broad environmental concern. Expand your range with accurate terms such as “waste,” “recycling facilities,” “contamination” and “marine life,” and check spelling and natural word combinations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both short statements and longer sentences, including a conditional construction: “When the rubbish cannot recyle it has different effect on environment.” However, sentence structures are often incomplete or inaccurately formed, as in “I agree with this statement people do not recycle their rubbish but some changes can be taken.” There are recurring problems with articles, plurals and agreement, for example “different type of bacteria” and “make the different new product.” Some sentences also need clearer punctuation to separate ideas. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas hard to follow. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check articles and plural nouns; use simple, accurate cause-and-effect structures before attempting longer sentences.
