Student answer (Band 5.5)

In most countries, residents do not recycle their garbage more as they could. I agree that people do not prefer the bad smell material to be in touch even though it could be convenient for them. Substantially, it becomes a habit for them to stay away from the rubbish and they consider it completely non-valuable . I also disagree that recycling of the rubbish could be convenient as often humans throw away the precious materials without any knowledge of its significance. So, the recycling of such items or metals is beneficial.

I think the main reason for people to not give any importance to the process of recycling is that they do not have much knowledge about the common things demand or its consequences among the market. The other reasons could be that the people do not want to do any efforts in search of finding demanded material. Folks never try to watch the process of recycling that how it works for making unusable items into precious and potentially valuable things. For instance, the recycling method of waste materials could have access to limit too much used things as instead of buying new ones residents can use the recycled product again which becomes the savings for them not spending.

In my opinion, the awareness among people for the process of recycling can be useful for stopping this to happen again and again. The advertisement can also play a vital role in promoting the new ideas among humans. People will understand about the method and then they’ll start considering the rubbish material as precious. For example, advertising the process of recycling the rubbish can give people awareness for storing the waste items instead of throwing it into garbage.

To conclude, the recycling process is very efficient for using a single item again instead of buying new ones it will save their money.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question: you suggest that limited knowledge and unwillingness to make an effort discourage recycling, and you propose awareness campaigns and advertising as solutions. The examples about reusing recycled products and storing waste items are relevant. However, the explanation of why people lack knowledge is unclear, and the point about avoiding unpleasant smells is introduced but not developed or connected convincingly to the task. Your solutions are also quite general; explain who should run campaigns and how they could make recycling easier or more appealing. The conclusion repeats the benefit of saving money rather than bringing together your main reasons and proposals. More fully explained, specific ideas would make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with separate paragraphs for reasons, solutions and a conclusion, and signposts such as “For instance” and “To conclude” help readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. The opening moves from smell to convenience and then to the value of materials without a clear link, while the second paragraph’s example is a long, confusing sentence that obscures how it supports the reason. Some connections are also repetitive, particularly the repeated references to awareness and advertising. Use clearer topic sentences, develop one point at a time, and make pronouns such as “this” refer unmistakably to a specific idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “recycling,” “waste materials,” “advertisement,” and “precious materials,” so the reader can identify the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably unnatural, sometimes making the meaning difficult to interpret. For example, “people do not prefer the bad smell material to be in touch” does not clearly express the intended barrier, and “common things demand or its consequences among the market” is hard to understand. Phrases such as “do any efforts” and “give people awareness” also need more natural wording. Aim for precise expressions such as “lack awareness of the benefits” and “make an effort,” and avoid repeating “precious” when “valuable” or “reusable” is more accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “even though,” “as,” and “instead of.” However, the range is limited in practice because many longer sentences are not controlled successfully, and frequent errors can make the reader work to understand the message. For example, “the people do not want to do any efforts in search of finding demanded material” has problems with sentence construction and grammatical patterns, while “the recycling process is very efficient for using a single item again … it will save their money” joins two complete ideas without suitable punctuation or a linking structure. There are also errors in articles, agreement and pronoun reference. Practise building accurate complex sentences and check each sentence for a clear subject, verb and complete clause.
