Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You identify recycling as beneficial and begin to suggest that people need to be taught about its benefits. However, the response only minimally addresses the question: it does not clearly explain why people fail to recycle, and it gives no developed or practical measures for changing their behaviour. The point about a “lack of ethics” is difficult to interpret and is not supported with an explanation or example. The task also requires at least 250 words, while this response contains 78, so there is not enough development to cover both parts. To improve, explain specific causes, such as inconvenient collection systems, then propose matching solutions and support each with a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to move from a general statement about recycling to possible reasons, signalled by “There are several things” and “Firstly.” This gives the reader a limited sense of direction. However, the response ends before the ideas are organised into a complete argument, and there is no clear progression from causes to solutions. The opening sentences are also loosely connected: the point about recycling helping needy people does not clearly lead into the claim that some countries do not support the concept. Use separate paragraphs for the causes and solutions, and connect each point with a clear explanation or example. This would make the organisation easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses some relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycle,” “environmental,” “benefits,” and “garbage,” so the subject is generally recognisable. There is also an attempt to express ideas beyond very basic statements, such as describing recycling as useful and referring to its benefits. However, spelling errors (“Recyling,” “usefull,” “Firslty,” “garbbage”) and inaccurate or unnatural word choices (“pretend while doing any mistakes”) make parts difficult to understand. Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “use it for their routine.” Build a more accurate set of recycling-related expressions and check spelling; for example, explain that materials can be “reused” or “turned into new products.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple sentences and a more complex opening with “Although,” showing some willingness to vary sentence structure. However, the subordinate clause beginning “Although its help needy people” is not completed as a full sentence, and several patterns are difficult to follow, including “There are many countries where does not support this concept.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence construction in “there should be a proper research” and “lack of ethics which always make them.” These errors sometimes obscure the intended meaning. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and article use. For instance, state who does not support recycling and what action they should take.
