Student answer (Band 5.0)

Recycling is the making of one thing in another useful form after it becomes useless.Recycling is very important as Earth has some Natural resoures in very limited amount and it also ensures the cleanliness of the environment by converting the thigs from their rubbish state to fresh state in other form.

People must be aware of the ways by which they can recycle the recyclable things and the benefits of recycling.People of many under developing and developing countries do not show as much interest in recycling as it needs.Different countries have made strict rules on this as they do not allow their people to throw trash in the open air or anywhere and they have made the whole procedure to recycle the things and best ways to waste things.

In countries, where people do not show positive behavior concerning recycling which plays important role in the reduction of environmental pollution, people are facing various diseases caused by different bacteria and fungi which grow rapidly in the dirty and polluted environment. In Karachi, there is no any proper route for the waste water and many other substances like plastic bags make it more harder which becomes the cause of fatal diseases in the rainy season.

In recycling, the role of the Govt. is as important as the role of the local people. They cannot play beneficial role in recycling without the association of one an other.Govt. can made rules and enforce them related to the recycling and reducing pollution but it is the duty of the people to follow them and play an important rule by followimg the instruction of the Govt.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both the causes of low recycling and possible action, and the example of waste and flooding in Karachi gives the discussion some real-world relevance. However, the response only partially answers the question: it does not clearly explain why people recycle less, beyond saying they lack awareness or interest, and the proposed solutions are mostly limited to government rules and people following them. The opening definition and general benefits take space without developing these two parts. To strengthen the response, identify specific barriers—such as inconvenient collection systems or limited facilities—and explain how practical measures, public education, and enforcement could address them. Develop each point with a clear explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from a general introduction to public awareness, an example from Karachi, and the roles of government and residents. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear: the second paragraph discusses rules and recycling procedures, while the final paragraph returns to government action without a distinct, developed solution sequence. Connections between ideas are sometimes abrupt, and several sentences contain multiple points joined mainly by “and.” Use topic sentences to signal whether a paragraph explains a cause or proposes a solution, then connect each supporting detail explicitly. Clearer referencing and more varied linking would make the argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycling,” “environmental pollution,” “waste water,” and “fatal diseases,” so the subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the meaning harder to follow. For example, “the making of one thing in another useful form” does not express the definition naturally, and “best ways to waste things” appears to mean disposing of or processing waste. There are also noticeable spelling errors, such as “resoures,” “thigs,” and “followimg.” Build a more precise set of recycling-related expressions and check spelling and collocations during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including clauses beginning “as” and “which,” and the main ideas can usually be understood. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Examples include “Govt. can made rules,” where the modal should be followed by the base verb, and “people are facing various diseases … which grow rapidly,” where the relative clause appears to refer to diseases rather than bacteria and fungi. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “there is no any proper route” and the missing space after full stops. Aim for shorter, controlled sentences first, then add subordinate clauses with clear references and accurate verb forms.
