Student answer (Band 4.5)

Recycling is the best way to combat pollution, which helps us to keep our environment clean and fresh.

In the world of full population people are generic with everything happens around them knowing what is good and bad for them still they are unaware and unethical to their's health but apart from those things in the modern world most of the people's having great amount of money in their pockets and bought whatever they want rather than thinking to use the recycled ♻️ products in use again because all they wanin the fresh form that's why they are not going for the recycled items at any extent of there's life.

People are on the spare of showing high quality and costly things to show how well classed they are but, they forget that they are ruining the Nature's wealth, for example Government has provided a van for the garbage collection from door to door still people are throwing on the road, on the street Government has been provided bin boxes to collect wet and dry garbage to recycle but after recycled they can't even sell the things in public spares because people are not keen interested in recycled items, then what should Government do.

As per my point of view people should understand that the recycled items can be use and it's better to use it while taking another same items because recycled items are even cheeper and nature friendly which provides healthy life balance for the given life to this environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both parts of the question: you suggest that people prefer new, expensive products and explain that low demand for recycled goods discourages recycling. You also mention government collection vans and bins, which is relevant. However, the reasons are not clearly separated or fully explained, and the proposed solution is mainly that people should understand recycled products are cheaper and better for nature. The question asks what can be done, so develop practical measures—for example, clearer sorting instructions, incentives, or penalties—and explain how they would change behaviour. Your position is present, but the response needs more specific examples and fuller development to address the task consistently.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an opening statement and separate paragraphs that broadly move from reasons to examples and then your view. This gives it some organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow, especially in the long second paragraph, where several ideas run together without clear links. Phrases such as “apart from those things” and “then what should Government do” do not clearly show how one point leads to the next. The final paragraph repeats the preference for recycled goods rather than bringing the reasons and solutions together. Use one paragraph for causes and another for solutions, with shorter sentences and clear links such as “One reason is…” and “To address this…”.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “pollution,” “recycled items,” “garbage collection,” and “wet and dry garbage,” so the reader can identify the subject. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unnatural choices make meaning harder to follow. Expressions such as “people are generic with everything,” “on the spare of showing,” and “public spares” do not communicate your intended ideas clearly. There are also spelling and word-form problems, including “cheeper” and “wanin.” Aim for precise, natural collocations and check spelling: for instance, describe people as “indifferent to recycling” and say they “want products in new condition.” This would make your arguments clearer and more appropriate for an academic essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You try to express complex ideas using clauses linked with “because,” “rather than,” and “while,” but these structures are often difficult to control. Several sentences are run-ons, particularly the second paragraph, and punctuation does not reliably separate complete ideas. There are frequent problems with agreement and verb forms, as in “people’s having” and “recycled items can be use,” as well as article and possessive forms in “their’s health.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Build accuracy with shorter sentences first, then add one controlled subordinate clause. For example: “People often prefer new products because they believe these are higher quality. As a result, demand for recycled goods remains low.”
