Student answer (Band 5.5)

In many nations, individuals are hardly recyle their rubbish due to not prioritize this things and unaware to the environment. There are several things can be done to change this habbit, such as encouragement as well as government policy.

One major reason is lack of awareness to the environment. People often think this is a common matter not to recycle their trash. If they think or know how much environment get affected because of not recyling the rubbis, they must recylce their trash as much as they could as recycling trash is beneficial for environment. Many plastic bottles etc may damage the soil as this subtances is very dangeraous. Moreover, pupils of many nations do things what they want, as a result they may not prioritize recyling as much. Sometimes individuals may forget because of their buzyness. For example, many people may busy with their work or study, for this they have less time to focus on recyling their rubbish, they throw the trash into the bin.

To alter this, government should implement their poliicy. Government can order new rules and regularity to change this. In addition, government should fine to those people who mioght no obey the rules, as a result people get aware and recyle their rubbish as much as they could. Moreover encouragment can also change this things. From school teacher to business person, everyone should encourage the ordinary people to recyle their own trash. People can arrange TV show and make advertisement about recyling.

In conclusion, people in many nations do not recyle their trash as they think it is unimportant to recyle. Goverment policy such as implementing new rules and awareness can be done to change this.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question: you suggest that low environmental awareness and competing priorities reduce recycling, then propose government rules, fines, and public encouragement. These ideas are relevant, and the example of people being busy with work or study helps illustrate one cause. However, the explanation is often general or unclear. For instance, “People often think this is a common matter not to recycle” does not clearly explain what they believe, and the point about pupils doing “what they want” is not developed. The solutions also need more explanation of how they would work in practice. To strengthen the response, clarify each reason and connect each proposed measure to a specific barrier, using a more precise example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the broad direction of the essay. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some points are placed together without a clear relationship. In the causes paragraph, awareness, pupils’ priorities, and busyness are introduced in quick succession, while “Moreover” does not make the connection between these ideas clear. The repeated use of “Moreover,” “as a result,” and “for example” can also feel mechanical. Some references, such as “this” in “change this things,” are unclear. Group related causes and solutions more carefully, and use linking phrases only when they accurately show the relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “recycle,” “environment,” “government policy,” “fine,” and “advertisement,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “unaware to the environment,” “regularity” for rules or regulations, and “encouragment.” The repeated use of “trash” and “recycle their rubbish” also makes the writing sound repetitive. Some misspellings, such as “recyling,” “dangeraous,” and “buzyness,” further reduce clarity. Build a small set of accurate topic phrases and check spelling; choose expressions that fit naturally, such as “environmental awareness” and “recycling habits.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences using clauses and connectors, for example, “If they think or know how much environment get affected…,” and you use a range of basic sentence patterns. However, many sentences contain errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, or sentence construction, and these sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “individuals are hardly recyle” needs a grammatical verb phrase, while “Many plastic bottles etc may damage the soil as this subtances is” has problems with number agreement and sentence structure. “Government should fine to those people” also shows an incorrect grammatical pattern. Practise forming accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and verb forms during revision.
