In many countries, people do not recycle their rubbish as much as they could.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

People are unwilling to make a re-use of wastage material now-a-days in most other countries which they potentially could if they have the right intention to recycle it. Mental changes and the way they think about their packed daily lifestyle do not allow them to allocate enough time for this task. If governments take some creative initiative, than it can be change.

People are busy with their monotonous life. They are always been in a rush of earning money, take care of families, retirement plan and lot of other stuffs. As recycling requires some sort of creativity and experimental task to achieve, people do not have enough time to spend there. Online purchase has made easier access which discourage recycling process. Moreover, recycling requires much time to complete and often expensive. As a result people restrict their fascination on it and prefer to buy a new one instead. For example- A recycle of an old wrist watch can be more time consuming and expensive compared to buying a new one.

Governments should promote recycling process towards common people in order to increase its use. Many incentive related campaigns could organize to attract people on this task. For instance- In Germany, governments announced a reward of 1 euro for every empty plastic bottle to submit in the wastage machine. This things encourage people to make the most use of rubbish. Also advertising agencies should conduct promotional events among young adults in college university and share knowledges of the re-use of waste materials which will increase their concern regarding the process of utilizing waste product.

In conclusion, people should be aware of re-using the wastage in order to protect our environment. It should be promoted over the nations to experience the best result.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the question: it gives reasons for low recycling, including busy routines, the time and cost involved, and the convenience of online shopping, then proposes government incentives and awareness campaigns. The bottle-return example gives the proposed incentive some concrete support. However, several points are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim that recycling requires “creativity and experimental task” is unclear, and the wristwatch example does not explain how this illustrates household recycling generally. The solutions are relevant, but their likely impact could be developed more explicitly. A clearer explanation of how convenience, access to facilities, or public habits cause low recycling would make the response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. The progression from reasons to remedies is easy to follow, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “As a result,” and “For instance” help connect points. However, some links are mechanical or imprecise: “This things” does not clearly refer to the reward scheme, and “If governments take some creative initiative, than it can be change” does not establish a clear connection to the later proposals. The conclusion repeats the general call for awareness rather than drawing together the main causes and solutions. Use clearer referencing and make the relationship between each example and its point explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The response attempts a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “recycling process,” “incentive,” “promotional events,” and “utilizing waste product.” These choices show an effort to discuss the issue beyond basic terms, and the main meaning is generally understandable. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “make a re-use of wastage material,” “restrict their fascination on it,” and “share knowledges.” Repetition of “people,” “recycling,” and “process” also limits flexibility. Some spelling and form choices, including “now-a-days” and “stuffs,” reduce precision. Aim for natural combinations such as “recycle household waste,” “lose interest,” and “share knowledge,” and choose specific terms for collection schemes and recycling facilities.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

There is an attempt to use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional and cause-and-effect structures: “If governments take…” and “As a result…” The overall message can usually be followed, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make relationships unclear. Examples include “they are always been in a rush,” “which discourage recycling process,” and “it can be change”; these involve verb forms, agreement, and passive construction. Articles and sentence structure also need attention, as in “a recycle of an old wrist watch” and “governments announced a reward.” Punctuation around examples is inconsistent. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and revise each sentence for a complete, correctly formed clause while retaining the useful variety of structures.
