Student answer (Band 5.5)

In many countries, people ignores the recycling of their waste materials to some extent as they can do more than enough. This is not good for our health, it is due to the lack of concentration which can be improved by many tips like proper disposable of garbage.

If we see there are many reasons of not doing much recycling, one of the main is the lack of recycling bins and improper system of throwing materials like there are no proper containers for each specific type of rubbish. Citizens dropped all types of material like plastic, glass, rubber and wood etc in a single place so it becomes difficult for the people to find out the things that can be used again. Additionally, it also happening if Government does not pay attention to this issue seriously, they do not make any particular arrangements of doing this whole procedure. One of this explanation is that shortage of workers and low literacy rate. Moreover, people dispose the wrappers, plastic bottles and shopping bags anywhere even on the roads, drains, rivers and spread litter everywhere and it becomes difficult for the collector who has transported all these stuffs to the plant. And ultimately, all these cause many problems like destroy the soil quality, cause pollution and serious issues to our health.

Although, it can be resolved by following some strategies, such as Government should keep at least three bins in each place and mentioned on them that what kind of things should be placed in this container. And implement the fines on someone who does not follow these instructions. As our country is very large, there should be many plants of recycling constructed in different cities for handling a large number of products. Persons should gain more knowledge about this so they can work there there in order to fulfill the space of labor.

In short, recycle the rubbish is essential for the betterment of our nation and well being of humans. Therefore we all should tried to make this process well managed.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question: you identify causes such as inadequate bin provision, weak government attention, limited worker availability and public littering, then suggest more clearly labelled bins, fines and recycling plants. These are relevant ideas, and the conclusion reinforces the importance of recycling. However, some points are asserted rather than explained. For example, the link between low literacy and recycling is not made clear, and the suggestion that people should gain knowledge so they can work at recycling plants does not fully explain how this would increase public recycling. Develop the strongest causes and solutions with a specific example and show how each proposed measure would change behaviour.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a concluding statement. The progression from problems to remedies is generally understandable, and connectors such as “Additionally,” “Moreover” and “In short” help signal relationships. However, the causes paragraph contains several ideas in a long sequence, so the links between government action, worker shortages, literacy and littering are not always clear. Some transitions also feel mechanical, and references such as “this whole procedure” and “all these” are vague. Group related points more deliberately, use clearer topic sentences, and make each pronoun refer unmistakably to a specific idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a reasonable range of topic vocabulary, including “recycling bins,” “containers,” “wrappers,” “plastic bottles,” “pollution” and “soil quality.” This allows you to discuss both causes and possible measures. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning less precise: “ignores the recycling,” “proper disposable of garbage,” “dropped all types of material,” and “fulfill the space of labor.” There is also repetition of general terms such as “things,” “materials” and “process.” Choose more natural expressions for waste management and use precise terms for people, facilities and actions. Check word forms and collocations when revising.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “if,” “so” and “who,” and most of the main ideas remain understandable. However, errors in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “people ignores,” “Citizens dropped,” “it also happening,” and “we all should tried.” Some sentences also join several clauses without clear grammatical control, particularly the sentence beginning “Moreover, people dispose…” Practise checking subject–verb agreement and keeping verb forms consistent, then divide long sentences into shorter units. More accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to read.
