Student answer (Band 6.0)
In some countries, people do not recycle their waste materials to that extent as they could. This is happening due to many reasons like poor management which we have to sort out by following some measures.
People ignore the proper disposable of objects which can be reused because of worst system of waste management. As there is no proper place where people discarded such things. There is no separate containers. All the materials like glass, wrappers, plastics are throw in the same box from which some are also non-recyclable. Infact, in some countries, no proper bins are placed. People throw garbage everywhere in roads, streets which destroy our environment and become the cause of many diseases. Due to this reason, workers face difficulties to search out and separate that materials. Therefore maximum amount of stuff can not be recycled which is a huge loss. Another problem is that some countries do not have proper plantation for recycling of objects. Governments do not pay proper attention towards this circumstances as it is essential to deal with a geat amount of products. As every object like glass, plastics are recycled by different methods, some may have proper system for only plastics, their glass materials are wasted.
To solve this problem, governments consider this a major issue and pay proper attention to resolve. They improve the system of waste management. They should arrange 2 to 3 bins in every residential area where people discard the products in proper way. They also arrange cameras their to see how people use it and punish them if they ignore these bins and again throw rubbish in improper place. There are still some countries where management system is great enough to provide neat and clean environment like in Germany, Government arranged the separate containers and mention that this is for plastics and that is for glass. This help us to make environment clean. There is also need of proper plantation of these materials. When they are recycled quickly then a large amount of waste can be go through this procedure. By recycling the materials, it also become cost effective as material used in it is old so it is buying in reasonable price.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both parts of the question: you identify weak waste-management systems and limited recycling facilities as causes, then suggest separate bins, monitoring, penalties and better processing plants. The Germany example also helps make the proposed approach more concrete. This meets the task well, and the main ideas are relevant. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the link between poor bin provision and workers’ difficulty sorting waste could be developed with a clearer explanation of how this reduces recycling. The cost-effectiveness point at the end is also unclear and not fully connected to the solutions. More precise development of these ideas would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph explaining causes, and a paragraph proposing solutions. The progression from inadequate sorting facilities to the need for government action is generally understandable, and linking expressions such as “Therefore,” “Another problem” and “To solve this problem” help guide the reader. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, with repeated use of “There is” and “They,” and some references are unclear, as in “this circumstances” and “this help us.” The long cause paragraph also contains several distinct points that would be easier to follow if grouped more carefully. Use clearer referencing and vary transitions while keeping each paragraph focused on one main stage of the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “waste management,” “non-recyclable,” “separate containers” and “recycled,” so the subject is clear. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “residential area” and “cost effective.” However, inaccurate word choice and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make ideas awkward: “proper disposable” does not express the intended meaning, “plantation” is not the right term for recycling facilities, and “a geat amount of products” is unclear. Spelling errors such as “Infact” and “geat” also reduce control. Build accuracy by learning common topic collocations and checking whether each word fits its context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “As there is no proper place…” and a conditional sentence with “if they ignore these bins.” This shows some range, and the overall meaning is usually recoverable. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “All the materials … are throw” needs a passive form, while “This help us” has a subject–verb agreement error. The opening phrase “to that extent as they could” also has an awkward comparison structure. Some sentences are fragments, such as “As there is no proper place…”; connect these to a main clause. Review passive constructions and agreement, then proofread sentence boundaries.
