Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both parts of the question: you identify limited awareness and inadequate recycling facilities as reasons, then suggest awareness campaigns and providing separate bins. These ideas are relevant, but they are only briefly stated. For example, the point that people lack education is not explained with a specific consequence or example, and the proposed campaigns are not described in enough detail to show how they would change behaviour. The response also does not make a clear, developed overall argument. The required minimum of 250 words is not met, so there is limited space to explain and support your ideas. Develop each reason and solution with explanation and a relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph about causes, one about solutions, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main stages of your answer. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and several linking expressions are used mechanically or inaccurately. For instance, “Moreover” and “furthermore” appear close together without clearly distinguishing the ideas, while “Additionally, to solve this problem” creates an awkward transition. Some sentences run together, making relationships between points unclear. Use one clear topic sentence per paragraph, separate each supporting point, and connect ideas with precise links such as “Another reason is…” or “To address this…”.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycle,” “rubbish,” “separate bins,” “awareness campaigns,” and “environment,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to interpret. Examples include “limited facility,” “huge step,” and “huge amount payback”; these do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also spelling and word-form problems, such as “lake of education” and “a awareness.” Aim for precise phrases such as “limited recycling facilities,” “take significant steps,” and “financial incentives.” Learning topic-specific collocations and checking spelling would make your meaning clearer.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a cause-and-effect construction beginning “As a result” and a sentence with “because.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to read. For example, “Government taken some huge step” is missing an auxiliary verb and has an incorrect noun form, while “when do not take huge step” lacks a clear subject and has faulty verb structure. Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries also need attention, as in “a awareness campaigns” and the run-on sequence beginning “For instance many people…”. Practise building complete sentences with a subject and verb, and check articles, verb forms, and punctuation.
