Student answer (Band 6.0)
People are not aware of the concept of recycling waster materials in many countries comparing with other countries. It can be due to lack of proper knowledge about the benefits of recycling and lack of facilities to recycle the wastages. But the situation can alter if the government and civil society organizations work in collaboration to educate people about the importance recycling process and also ensure proper inrastructure to recyle the rubbish.
At first, people can not do something that they are not well aware of which is the case over here as many people do not know where to put the rubbish for recycling and why to do so. For intsance, citizen of my country can not detect a recycle bin or know what to throw in the bin and what not as we are not taught about this is any educational institution or community services. Additionaly, Many elderly think it is unnecessary as it doesn't bring any benefit and recycled products are impured. As a result, people are not encouraged to go through this process. Another reason is the countries are not well equipped with instruments that are required to recyle the waste products. So, even if people are aware of the process, they can not have the system to do so.
To solve this issue, not only government but also non-profit organizations can come forward to work together. The government need to introduce the concept in educational books and promote recycling through communication channel and organizations can conduct sessions to facilitate the knowledge among marginal people. Again, the government should focus on building infrasture to recycle waste materials with proper guidelines. It can also take help from another countries that have successfully introduced the system in their countries. So, a proper education about recycling and initiatives taken by the law makers and CSO can make the situation better.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the question and maintains a clear overall position: limited awareness and inadequate recycling facilities are identified as causes, while education and infrastructure are proposed as solutions. The examples about people not knowing which bin to use and older people doubting the value of recycling make the discussion relevant. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others. For instance, the claim that recycled products are considered “impured” is mentioned but not explained, and the proposed role of non-profit organisations could be made more specific. To strengthen the response, explain how each measure would change behaviour and support the points with a clearer example or consequence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a coherent overall arrangement: the introduction presents causes and solutions, the second paragraph explains the causes, and the final paragraph focuses on remedies. Linking expressions such as “At first,” “As a result,” and “To solve this issue” help signal the direction of the argument. The progression is generally clear, though some connections feel mechanical, and “Again” does not clearly show how the next proposal relates to the previous one. There is also some repetition of “government” and “recycling” without enough variation. Use more precise links between cause and effect, and organise the solutions so each follows directly from a problem already discussed.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The response uses relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycling,” “facilities,” “infrastructure,” and “guidelines,” and attempts some less common expressions such as “civil society organizations.” However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “waster materials,” “wastages,” “inrastructure,” “recyle,” and “impured” are unclear or incorrect. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “facilitate the knowledge” and “communication channel.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main argument, but they limit the range and control expected at a stronger level. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations, for example, “raise awareness,” “recycling facilities,” and “communication channels.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The essay attempts a mix of simple and complex structures, including conditional and contrastive forms such as “even if people are aware of the process” and “not only government but also non-profit organizations.” The main meaning is usually clear, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “people are not aware … comparing with other countries” has an incomplete comparison structure, while “The government need” has subject–verb disagreement. Articles and sentence patterns also need attention in “importance recycling process” and “citizen of my country … as we are not taught about this is any educational institution.” Review agreement, articles, and clause construction, then proofread longer sentences to ensure that each clause is complete and clearly connected.
