Student answer (Band 6.0)
In many countries, it is believed that people do not recycle their trash as often as they could. The reason for this is because of their busy shedules, and the solution to this problem should be government creating awareness.
To begin with, one problem to why people do not focus on recycling their dirt often is due to their busy lifestyle. Some individual are extremely pre-occupied that they hardly have time for their personal need, so they do not think paying much attention to recylying is something they should focus on. Most time, they have someone who comes to cleanup their apartment, and that person might not be vast about the knowledge of recycling. Instead, they burnout the trash that should have been kept properly for reprocessing. For example, a banker manager who goes to work 5 times a week would not have the luxury of time to be able to dispose his trash properly which ends up affecting the environment.
Regardless of the reason to why they do not do it, a solution is very vital. Government should be able to crreate awareness toward it through different mass media, so that those that are ignorant can be more imformed about the usefulness of recycling things that might have a purpose to the society. For instance, Government should be able to fund the use of social media, television and radio stations to actively broadcasting issues concerning this for the benefits of unaware citizens. Also, they should be able to broadcast it in different languages for elderly citizens who do not understand english for better understanding of the message being passed.
In conclusion, the cause to why people do not often reprocess their rubbish as much as they should is because of how busy they could be, and a solution to this is government using very media to publicise on issues conerning recycling.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you identify busy lifestyles as a reason for low recycling and propose government-led awareness campaigns. The examples about a cleaner who may not know recycling practices and a busy bank manager help make the cause relevant, while the suggestions to use social media, television, radio and different languages give the solution some detail. However, the explanation focuses mainly on lack of time and does not explore other possible barriers, such as inconvenient collection systems. The proposed awareness campaign is also less fully developed: explain how information would lead to practical changes in people’s recycling habits. Overall, the response is relevant, but some ideas are clearer and more supported than others.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph explaining a cause, one proposing a solution, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “For example,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages, and the examples are placed alongside the points they support. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and also shows some stronger progression. However, links can feel mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “should be able to,” and some references are unclear, as in “Regardless of the reason to why they do not do it.” The conclusion largely repeats the introduction rather than drawing the two strands together. Use more varied, precise links between claims and examples.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “recycling,” “reprocessing,” “mass media,” and “broadcast.” There are also attempts at less common or formal wording, such as “pre-occupied” and “publicise.” However, several inaccurate choices or collocations make the expression awkward or occasionally unclear: “busy shedules,” “recycling their dirt,” “burnout the trash,” and “fund the use of social media.” Spelling errors such as “imformed,” “crreate,” and “conerning” are noticeable, and some words are repeated rather than replaced with precise alternatives. Build accuracy by checking spelling and choosing natural combinations, for example, “dispose of waste” and “raise awareness.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a relative clause in “a banker manager who goes to work 5 times a week.” Most of the message remains understandable, and the paragraph structure helps clarify the intended meaning. Some grammatical errors persist, however, especially with agreement, articles and sentence patterns: “Some individual are” should be “Some individuals are,” and “Government should” needs an article or plural form. The construction “The reason for this is because” is also awkward, while “a solution to this is government using” needs a clearer grammatical structure. Aim to produce more consistently controlled sentences, particularly when explaining cause and effect.
