Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both parts of the question by giving reasons people avoid recycling and proposing awareness-raising. The reasons include convenience, lack of time, limited knowledge about recycling, and a lack of facilities, so the response is relevant to the topic. However, the position and proposed solution are not developed clearly: the final paragraph mainly calls for awareness, without explaining who should raise it or how. The example about a person in your hometown becoming ill is difficult to connect to recycling and is not explained sufficiently. To strengthen the response, develop a smaller number of relevant reasons and give specific, practical measures, such as providing clearly labelled bins or introducing local education campaigns.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the opening introduces the issue, the middle paragraphs give reasons, and the final paragraph attempts to suggest a response. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “more over,” and “Finally” help signal additions. However, the progression is not consistently clear, and several ideas are joined together without showing their relationship. For example, the claim that recycling can be “useless” because people do not know what is in rubbish shifts abruptly to a health example. The final paragraph also combines urgency, awareness, environmental protection, and future generations in one long sentence. Use clearer paragraph purposes and connect each reason to its explanation; then give proposed actions in a separate, focused paragraph.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “recycle,” “rubbish,” “facilities,” “protecting environment,” and “awareness.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or unclear choices make parts of the response difficult to understand. Phrases such as “make it new,” “look at this attitude,” and “a good wya to orogress” do not express the intended ideas naturally. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “mantain,” “luch,” and “imidiately,” alongside repeated use of “rubbish” and “people.” Build a more precise set of topic phrases and check spelling carefully. For instance, use “sort household waste” and “recycling services” where appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to combine ideas using clauses and connectors, as in “because they think this take a huge time,” but complex sentences are often faulty and the range of sentence structures is limited. Errors in verb forms and agreement include “this take” and “can spent”; articles and plural forms are also problematic in “inside those rubbish.” Punctuation and sentence boundaries make some passages hard to follow, particularly the final sentence, which begins “For that it's really crucial” and continues through several ideas without clear structure. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then join related ideas with one clear subordinate clause. Check subject–verb agreement, verb forms after modal verbs, and punctuation when editing.
