Student answer (Band 5.0)
Throughout many region in the world, recycling rubbish is neglected by people for many reasons, one of them is that individuals are less cultivated regarding recycling and enviromental conservation, and i believe that the government should be strict toward this subject.
One of the main reasons why people don't give an attention to recycle their rubbish, is happening is due to the culture of nations, many societies don't educate their citizens about habits that help preserve the environment. As a result, the citizens don't recycle as much they could or they don't at all. For example, sometimes we see people throw the rubbish in the street or far of the garbage containers and that confirm that people don't have the culture of recyling or preserving the nature.
Regarding its effects, I believe that the government has the power to make people recycling their rubbish. The main reason is the citizens will take it seriously when it become an order not a favorable action done by them. This can lead to have a clean streets with rubbish recycled and a friendly products producted. For instance, we the government impose strict lows and fines on those who don't recycle their waste, people will not have any another choose, as consequence they will recycle and it will become a part of their routines.
In conclusion, people don't have recycling culture and I consider this as a negative point because it is harmful to nature.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions by identifying limited environmental education as a reason for low recycling and proposing government rules and fines. The examples of littering and penalties are relevant, and your view that government action is needed is apparent. However, the response develops only one main cause and one broad solution; it does not explain in much detail how education or enforcement would change everyday recycling habits. The conclusion repeats the lack of a recycling culture but does not recap the proposed measures. The response is also below the required 250 words, so there is less space to explain and support your ideas. Develop each answer with a specific mechanism or example, such as providing clearly labelled bins alongside public education.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on government action, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “One of the main reasons” and “Regarding its effects” signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within sentences is sometimes difficult to follow, as in “why people don't give an attention to recycle their rubbish, is happening is due to the culture of nations.” The link between the proposed fines and the claim that products will be environmentally friendly is also unclear. Some connections are repetitive or mechanical, particularly repeated use of “people” and “recycle.” Use clearer topic sentences, remove redundant wording, and make each example explicitly support the point immediately before it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycling,” “preserve the environment,” “garbage containers,” “strict laws and fines,” and “routines,” so the reader can understand the subject and your main points. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or forms make the writing less natural. For example, “less cultivated” is not an appropriate way to describe limited awareness, “favorable action” does not clearly express voluntary behaviour, and “friendly products producted” is unclear. There are also spelling errors such as “enviromental,” “recyling,” and “lows.” Build a more precise set of environmental terms and check spelling and collocations; this will help you express causes and solutions without relying on repeated general words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a cause-and-effect structure beginning “As a result” and a conditional example about government fines. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For instance, “many region” has incorrect number agreement, while “the citizens don't recycle as much they could” is missing a necessary comparison word. The conditional sentence beginning “If the government impose” also has a subject–verb agreement error, and “when it become an order” has an incorrect verb form. Articles and sentence boundaries need attention as well. Practise building accurate sentences with because, if, and as a result, then proofread each clause for subject–verb agreement and missing words.
