Student answer (Band 5.0)

Rubbish is common in every country and it is also increasing rapidly day by day. It is impossible to remove rubbish from surroundingd but we can recycle the rubbish and get benefits from it instead of leaving it to polute the environment.

In most of the countries, people donot recycletheir rubbish as much as they could. This is because, the people living in these countries have not much awareness about recycling rubbish. Although they are rich and they use many things in a single day which become rubbish after using them but they donot take care of these things to recycle them and use it again. They build their mindsets to purchase things and through them after using, they never thought about reusing them and save their money and environment as well.

I think it is the responsibility of government of these countries to motivate their population and give them instructions to reuse some of the common needs of daily life. Government should make special instructions and methods of recycling rubbish. Government should make department of recycling rubbish which can collect rubbish from all the areas of country and recyle it. This department should have officies in every city and government should select responsible officers to operate this department properly. If every single man living in country can take responsibility to recycle the rubbish which is made by him, so it is a easy way of recycling.

In conclusion I think that government and people living in country both can pay attention to recycle rubbish. So in this way they can get more benifits.

In conclusion I think that the best way to recycle rubbish is that eveyone living in socaity can take responsibilty to recycle rubbish

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question: you identify limited awareness and habits of buying and discarding items as reasons, then propose government guidance, a recycling department and individual responsibility. These ideas are relevant, and your position that both authorities and residents should act is apparent. However, the explanations remain general and are not supported with a specific example or much detail. For instance, you say people “have not much awareness” but do not explain what information they lack or why this prevents recycling. The proposed department is described in several sentences, while other practical measures—such as convenient collection points or incentives—are not explored. Develop the causes and solutions more evenly and show how each would increase recycling.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction to reasons, solutions and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps distinguish the main sections, and links such as “This is because” and “In conclusion” make some relationships clear. However, progression within paragraphs is often repetitive: the solutions paragraph repeats the need for government action and personal responsibility without clearly organising these as separate steps. The conclusion is also repeated, with two versions beginning “In conclusion,” and the final sentence adds little to the summary. Some connections between ideas are unclear, particularly the shift from people being rich to their recycling habits. Group each main idea once, use clearer references, and finish with one concise conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main points, including “recycle,” “rubbish,” “environment,” “responsibility” and “department.” This gives the response a relevant focus. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated frequently, especially “rubbish,” “government” and “recycle.” Some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “build their mindsets,” “through them after using” and “common needs of daily life,” which can make the intended meaning less clear. Spelling errors such as “polute,” “recyle” and “benifits” also reduce accuracy. Practise topic collocations and check spelling; for example, use “dispose of items” and “raise public awareness” where appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including a conditional idea beginning “If every single man…” and a contrast introduced by “Although.” However, complex sentences are often difficult to control, and frequent errors sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “people donot recycletheir rubbish,” “they never thought about reusing them,” and “it is a easy way,” which show problems with spacing, verb form and articles. There are also errors in sentence construction, such as “If …, so it is…” and the long sentence beginning “Although they are rich,” which lacks a clear main structure. Use shorter, complete sentences first, then practise joining ideas with accurate clauses and checking subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation.
