Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is widely believed by some individuals that people dont not recycle their waste as much as they could. This is mainly due to lack of awarness, lack of facilities or due to laziness and busy lifestyle and this situation could be improved if authorities provides information to residents through campaigns, also they should provide seprate bins for plastic paper, glass, and other bins, they should fine for improper waste and reward for recycling.
It is argued by some individuals that people throw all the material into ordinary bins and they do not recycle the reason behind this is lack of awareness and lack of facilities. For instance, individuals are unaware that plastic, paper and glass could be recycled also other reason is this they dont have seprate bins for recycling that's why they threw it into ordinary bins. Also some of the individuals know about this but due to laziness and busy schedule they put all waste into bin because it is much easier and quicker.
It is believed by some individuals that this development could be improved if individuals and authorities participates in this. It is responsibility of authorities to provide information through campaigns so individuals know more about recyling and its benefits. Local authorities should install seprate bins in public areas. For instance if individuals find separe bins they will throw it properly and it will be beneficial for the environment and economy. Another major solution of this is authorities should fine to them who who waste all the rubbish into same bin and give reward to them who throw it in proper way.
To conclude this, I firmly believed that authorities should encourage individuals by providing them awareness and facilities at public place, also they can motivate people for better community.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you identify limited awareness, inadequate recycling facilities, and convenience as reasons, then suggest campaigns, separate bins, fines, and rewards. These are relevant and your position—that authorities should encourage recycling—is clear. The examples about people putting plastic, paper, and glass into ordinary bins help explain the barriers, while the proposed incentives give the response practical direction. However, some ideas are asserted rather than fully developed. For example, you mention that recycling benefits “the environment and economy” without explaining how, and the effects of fines and rewards are not explored. Develop one or two solutions with a clearer explanation of how they would change people’s behaviour.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. This makes the main progression easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Also,” and “To conclude.” However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical because several sentences begin with “It is believed/argued by some individuals,” and “authorities” and “individuals” recur frequently. Some connections are unclear, particularly the long opening sentence, which joins several causes and solutions without clear separation. Use more varied, precise transitions and make each paragraph’s central point explicit. Breaking long sentences into clearer units would also improve the flow between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “recycle,” “waste,” “campaigns,” “separate bins,” “fine,” and “reward.” Some choices show an attempt to be specific, such as naming “plastic, paper and glass.” However, spelling errors are noticeable, including “awarness,” “seprate,” and “recyling,” and several phrases are awkward or imprecise: “busy lifestyle,” “fine to them,” and “motivate people for better community.” Repetition of “individuals,” “authorities,” and “bins” also limits flexibility. Aim for accurate collocations and a wider range of natural topic phrases, such as “raise public awareness” and “provide recycling facilities.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “if” and explanations introduced by “because.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but errors in sentence structure and verb forms are evident. For example, “authorities provides” needs subject–verb agreement, while “individuals and authorities participates” also has an agreement error. The opening sentence contains a confusing double negative (“dont not”), and the first sentence of the response runs several ideas together, creating a comma splice. There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries. Practise checking agreement and building complex sentences with clear clause boundaries; this will make your ideas easier to follow while retaining variety.
