Student answer (Band 6.0)
In most countries, people usually do not consider reusing garbage after recycling in as many ways as possible. This is because recycling rubbish requires machines that are not cost-effective. There are number of things that should be implemented to change this system.
Firstly, in most countries, people do not recycle item because it requires machines that are not easily affordable due to financial concerns. For example, in Pakistan and India, people do not usually reuse items that are thrown in the garbage and the main reason is recycling machines are not available in these countries. Consequently, the recycling sytem can't not be implemented and people can't get the benefit of reusing things again. therefore, the poor financial situation of the countries made them lose items, and rubbish such as plastic becomes a reason for the air pollution.
On the other hand, there are number of solutions that should be implemented to solve this problem. Firstly, governments should invest in the recycling machines rather than spending money on stuff which are not that important. Secondly, a law must be introduced for citizen to follow, in which people should throw items that could be recycled in a separate dusbin, it would be easy for government workers to identify which rubbish needs to be recycled. As a result, things can be reused after recycling and it will helps improve the economy of the country and pollution will be decreased.
In conclusion, although most countries cannot afford recycling machines however, investing in these machines instead of spending money on area which do not demand current attention can improve a country economy and can reduce air pollution.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you identify the cost and availability of recycling machinery as a reason, then propose government investment and a law requiring separate bins. These ideas are relevant, and the examples of Pakistan and India help illustrate your explanation. However, the causes are narrower than the task allows: the response largely treats lack of machinery as the reason people do not recycle, without explaining other possible barriers such as limited public awareness or inconvenient collection systems. The solutions are also unevenly developed; the separate-bin proposal is explained more clearly than how investment would be funded or put into practice. Develop these points with specific mechanisms and examples to make the response more complete and convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, a paragraph explaining the cause, a paragraph presenting solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “On the other hand,” and “As a result” show how points relate. However, some linking is mechanical, particularly the repeated “Firstly,” and the relationship between ideas is occasionally unclear. For example, the opening refers to “reusing garbage after recycling,” which makes the focus harder to follow, while the conclusion repeats the machinery point rather than drawing together both the cause and the proposed actions. Use more precise referencing and vary transitions so the progression feels more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycling machines,” “financial concerns,” “separate dustbin,” and “air pollution,” so the main ideas are understandable. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “implemented” and “introduced.” However, word choice and collocation are sometimes inaccurate or repetitive: “reusing garbage after recycling” does not express the intended idea clearly, and “stuff which are not that important” is too informal and imprecise for this essay. Spelling errors such as “sytem” and “dusbin” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of precise terms for waste management and public policy, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect clauses and a relative clause in “a law must be introduced … in which people should throw items.” Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, but some grammatical errors remain. Examples include “There are number of things,” where an article is needed, “people do not recycle item,” where the noun should be plural, and “it will helps,” where the verb form is incorrect. The sentence beginning “although most countries cannot afford … however” also combines two contrasting structures incorrectly. Practise article use, subject–verb agreement, plural forms, and sentence boundaries, then proofread complex sentences to ensure their clauses fit together accurately.
