Student answer (Band 5.5)

Rubbish has become one of the biggest issue all over the world. The most of countries prone to this issue are from Asian and African subcontinent. Recycling plays an important role in solving this issues. In countries like Germany, they establish proper mechanism to attract people to store th eplastic bottles and when visit market, get voucher in return of these. Country recycle these without casuing more polution by burning or spreading plastic. Many counties doesn't establish mechanism to recycle the rubbish instead they burn which leads to more pollution.

The main reason of non recycling of rubbish in many countries is the policies implementation and no proper governance to shift commitments of recycling development mechanism to an action plan. From the normal person to an high rank government employee, no one is interested in undestanding the affects of non recycling, along with no accountability to these actions.

To change this, countries should develop an one recycling approach combing base level trash picking, divison level committes, recyling centers along with the campaigns to promote affects of recycling on betterment of ecosystem. For example, in Punjab to promote recycling Goverment of Punjab starts from door to door trash picking which leds to less trash in streets and barren lands. So as CDA recycled plastic and developed a road using plastic. These kind of actions promote along with interest in youth about the ways through which rubbish can be used in various fields.

Overall, to promote recycling now countries had to start from basic campaigns about environmental impact along with one connected pproach

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question: you identify weak policy implementation, limited accountability and public awareness as reasons, then suggest coordinated recycling systems, campaigns and collection services. The examples of Germany’s bottle-return scheme and Punjab’s door-to-door collection help make the response relevant. However, some points are asserted rather than explained. For instance, the claim that people at every level are uninterested in understanding the effects of non-recycling would be stronger with a reason or supporting example. The proposed “one recycling approach” is also broad; clarify how its components would work together and why this would change individual behaviour. Developing these ideas more evenly would make the response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph explaining causes, a paragraph proposing solutions, and a brief conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “The main reason,” “To change this,” and “For example” to signal relationships between ideas. At times, however, connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening moves quickly from the global problem to countries in Asia and Africa, then to Germany, without fully explaining the comparison. In the solutions paragraph, the examples about Punjab and CDA are joined abruptly, and “These kind of actions” has an unclear reference. Use clearer transitions and make each paragraph’s ideas build more explicitly on one another.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “recycling,” “accountability,” “campaigns,” “ecosystem,” and “environmental impact,” and you attempt more specific expressions such as “door to door trash picking.” This gives you enough range to discuss the issue. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation and spelling sometimes make the meaning less natural or precise: “policies implementation,” “shift commitments … to an action plan,” and “promote affects of recycling” are difficult formulations. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “polution,” “recyling,” and “combing.” Aim for established phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, use “implement recycling policies,” “turn commitments into action,” and “raise awareness of recycling’s benefits.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “which leads to more pollution” and a purpose construction in “to promote recycling.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction are frequent enough to affect clarity. Examples include “one of the biggest issue,” “The most of countries,” “Many counties doesn’t establish,” and “Government of Punjab starts.” Some sentences also omit necessary subjects or verbs, as in “when visit market, get voucher in return of these,” while the final sentence is incomplete. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and finite verb, then review singular/plural agreement and articles. More accurate control of these patterns would make your ideas easier to read.
